Hello, forum friends

Noel made a very interesting project.
http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=476589#Post476589

The lyrics that he wrote is really beautiful and sorrowful.
I was greatly inspired by them.
So,I tried putting music on them immediately.
I used 2 RealTracks Styles together, and with no additional instruments.
I and my friends are not good at singing in English, so I used English Vocaloid for the vocal track.
Any comments encouraged.
Always welcome.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

DECIDUOUS LOVE
(Noel Adams – Shigeki Adachi)

Lost and lonely autumn leaves
My only friends tonight
We're tumbling headlong down a road going nowhere
Forgetting once we had a happy life

All alone, where cold winds blow
Don't we deserve a home?

Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Lives for summer sun
Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Leaves when summer is done

I remember back in springtime
The new beginnings were good
Then summer shone and love grew strong as days got longer
I was invincible and self-assured

But seasons changed, blue turned grey
Then came autumn's blade

Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Lives for summer sun
Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Leaves when summer is done

Maybe one day
I'm hoping one day
Summer will never go away

Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Lives for summer sun
Deciduous love
Deciduous love
Leaves when summer is done
Always needing summer sun

Shigeki Adachi.

This is outstanding!

Your melody is a PERFECT match for Noel's lyric.
You really "brought it alive".

I am extremely impressed at your ability to get the lyric rhythm and cadence so appropriate, so engaging. That is strong song-sense - not to mention good use of English in a lyric.

The vocaloid is amazing. The phrasing is "human-like". Impressive.

This sounds like a classic song - like it has been around for many years...like "Autumn Leaves" or "When I was Seventeen". Truly impressive.

An amazing combination of RealTracks! Excellent mix.

I am blown away by how very talented you are.

Noel's lyric and your melody and arrangement/production have combined to create magic.

Hi Shigeki,

You have done a wonderful job with this. Congratulations! Very fragile and elegant as everyone has stated.

Well, it looks like we are the only contenders so far. I wonder if anyone else will pony up??

"Noel's lyric and your melody and arrangement/production have combined to create magic."

That one sentence from floyd very much sums up this production.

This is a stunning example of what a collaboration between two talented artists and BiaB and vocaloid technology can create.

A showcase on the showcase forum.

The entire production has a timeless feel. Like an old friend.

Great!

Shigeki,
This is so right for Noel`s lyrics- you clearly were moved by them and have given us a treasure, showing once again that you are a craftsman in song.
It really does sound like a song we`ve heard and loved from way back.

Shigeki, your composing skills are fantastic! Your skills and Noel's lyrics made one great song! Your vocaloid phrasing is getting better and better.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

VERY, very cool.
Gorgeous lyrics wonderfully interpreted in melody.
A little editing of the vocal to remove those clicky and essy sounds would make this seamless.

Shigeki Adachi,

My first impression was....

I have never had any of my lyrics sound so classy and so elegant! Your composition is absolutely beautiful. You deserve every accolade that's coming your way.

I greatly admire what you have done. Truly, it is superb.

If I only had one word to use to describe what I am hearing right now, it would be "Outstanding!!!" I agree with floyd when he said, "I'm blown away by how very talented you are."

Out of curiosity, did you use Alanna in Vocaloid 4 editor? You've inspired me so much that I'm thinking of buying it for myself to play around with. I've always been a fan of what Yamaha can do with their technology.

All the best,
Noel

Wow - the way you re-imagined this is incredible. It is so beautiful and so well executed. I can't get over how perfect this is - listening with head phones, the way all the instruments are panned is fantastic. The harp trickles back and forth and at this point too, I think you have mastered the vocaloid.

Not a thing I'd change here - you should be very proud of this. Thanks for sharing smile

The third line of Noel's lyrics certainly is considerably longer than other lines, so it was a hard time to hit the melody there.

And I am also glad you like the vocal of Avanna, English vocaloid.

Best regards.

I thank a lot to Noel's lyrics for the birth of this song.

English vocaloids are very human-like compared to Japanese vocaloids.
Alanna's vocal is also very natural. So, the adjustment was easier.
I am always very encouraged by your nice words.

Best regards.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
