In my first BB2018 experiment (https://youtu.be/F6arCJLMCx8) the guitar is too loud. The guitar is the only thing I played on this track.
When I checked the levels on recording, I noticed that problem, so, using the mixer, I have turned the volume down on the guitar audio input, and after that all the levels where right.
But when saving as WAV, the guitar is loud again.
What is the best way to avoid and correct this?
Thank you.

Are you using a DAW software program at all? (not Realband related) One that one would employ to import BIAB wave files into?
I'm not the brightest bulb but I'm misunderstanding your gain staging and recording work flow. It would help to know more so others can chime in. I think it's a simple issue though at this juncture.
Did you do all your mixing and rendering in BIAB or did you export the tracks from BIAB and take them to a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to mix?
If you mixed them in BIAB, it's better to use the audio's volume on the mixer panel to control the loudness rather than the input volume on your guitar. See if that helps.
Many of us on here export our tracks from BIAB (without any panning or reverb) and then take them to a DAW to assemble. I use Reaper as my DAW. That's where I add audio such as vocals or instrumental. I also add reverb and a number of other effects at this point in time too.

Thank you Noel.
I made everything using BB and yes, I've adjusted the volume using the BB mixer.
Is weird: When I listened the song in my house las night was ok, all the levels were ok, but in my phone or in another PC the guitar is too loud.
I'll try to export the tracks in Studio One and do it there.... I was trying to avoid that passage.... :-(

I used exclusively BB and Realband for recording and rendering (well....rendering... I just made a simple SAVE AS "WAV")
I have exported the song from BB to Realband end there I recorded the guitar audio.
After the recording, when I play the song in Realband, the guitar was too loudly comparing the other instruments, so I adjusted the volume of the guitar channel using the mixer.
Even if in realdband at that point the sound was fixed, after exporting the whole track to WAV, the guitar was loudly again.
Is like the effect of the mixer volume change was never done....
To try a different approach, tonight I'll use Studio One instead Realband as solution....

It's possible to just drag the tracks to most DAWS (it should work with Studio One).
1. Resize the DAW and BIAB so that they both fit on the screen
2. left-click on the track name (below the top menu of "File | Edit | Options | etc.") and hold the mouse button down
3. drag track across to the tracks in Studio One
To drag all tracks at once (if it's possible in your DAW), left-click on the Master track and drag that over.
The volume envelopes that Studio One offers will be more versatile than the volume control in BIAB's mixer.

Hi. Thanks for reply. To try a different approach, tonight I'll use Studio One instead Realband as solution....
I would certainly recommend that, if I were asked.
After importing your track to Studio 1 I would also recommend having your track input meter levels reading about -12 db as a starting reference. If it's waaaay to low there should be a menu choice to "increase gain" on the offending wave file. Start with small increments of db increasing. (In Studio 1 can you right click a wave file and get aub menu choice liet?) That will also make the .wav file itself more visible. Sorry if I'm unclear on the above. You'll get it....tonight.
But....that's just me....others may disagree so YMMV.

Something I noticed; earlier in your previous work process (while in Realband) you mentioned 'Save to Wav' .. try using the 'Render all tracks to Stereo wav file' option in the Render menu instead.
This should render all volumes as heard in RB during playback. In other words, the 'Play' function and mix in RB should match the resulting rendered WAV file.
Granted, sometimes you need to move to another DAW, but this problem should be pretty easy to correct in RB in the first place.
Make your sound your own! .. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Definitely is a thing to try. When uninstalled BB and installed again, this time I ran the setup.exe choosing "Run as administrator". I'll try with this new tip. I hope It will go better after that.
Thank you!

Have a look at your song thread in Users Showcase. I posted how to set-up administrator privileges earlier today.
Here's the link to my post. The part relating to admin privileges is under point TWO.
P.S. Love the new version of the song. I think it's better, too!

Choosing to run Setup.exe as administrator is good, too.
However, that doesn't not automatically set BIAB to run as administrator.
To do get BIAB to run in administrator mode, it's necessary to set the BIAB shortcut as I outlined OR to go to the \bb folder and set BBW.EXE to run as administrator by right-clicking on the file, selecting properties, setting it under the compatibility tab.
It's also possible to start BIAB each time you open the software by right-clicking and selecting "Run as administrator".

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
