Stay For Awhile
© 2018 Kenny Leverett
08232018

There’s a bluebird hangs round my door
Don’t know why he’s singing
I’m not blue anymore
I’ve forgotten the heartache I knew
He doesn’t belong here
With his point of view

I know I dreamed you
From some time before
Lost in the moment
I can never be sure
With those blue eyes
And that beautiful smile
You don’t belong here
But stay for awhile

Maybe tomorrow
Will bring some good news
Here in these four walls
It’s long overdue
Your ghost sings sweetly
Somewhere down the miles
You don’t belong here now
But stay for awhile

Really nice work on this one smile Love the vocals here, and the lyrics are powerful and relatable too. Perfectly catchy as well - this is the kind of tune I'd imagine sounding great in a live setting.

Great job and thanks for sharing!

Kenny,

This is a great lyric. Very well written. It is also a beautifully worked backing track. Everything about this clicked for me. Good vocal, as well. Enjoyed listening. Thanks for sharing.

Wow!

Janice immediately commented on the nice piano and the lovely lyric and melody.

We often comment on how powerful your writes are with so relatively few words. Just the right ones and nothing more.

And you know we're long time fans of your vocals and productions.

Nice!!

Kenny, this is your best to date. Your vocal is very strong and those backing tracks are super. The piano and cello fit perfectly.

Kenny,

I love hearing your songs. Or more accurately...you singing your songs. You have a "star quality" that defies description.

The lyrics are always good. The melodies are always good.

Always good.

Kenny,

That`s some demo on a very good song!
Sweet and sad, with your unmistakeable voice making every word count.
Excellent arrangement; nothing needs adding.

Kenny, boy did Floyd nail this! I know this is a work in progress, but you certainly have a very solid foundation for something great! Thanks, Torrey

Kenny, what really struck me other than than the outstanding vocal performance and beautiful melody was the unique chord progression. The mix was also top notch. Great job, Tom

Hello, Kenny

Very nice song!
I love this chord progression very much.
Especially it is very good to go from F to Cm at the beginning of the melody.
Your vocal is very strong as usual.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Kenny,

It's always a fabulous treat to listen to you music. Your vocals are to die for and your composing is stellar. Love the progression on this one. Not sure what else to say except - thank you for the musical gift.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
