Hi All,

I kicked this one off with a rhythm bed and first verse before getting stuck and sending
the SEQ file over to Eddie. He upped the tempo a shade, wrote a further two verses and added
a bridge. It was obvious that Eddie was gonna do the lead vocal better than I would, so we changed
the key a few times and I re-recorded the backing. Somewhere along the line, this resulted in the
guitars getting heavier and the track losing it's Pop feel.
So, the lead vox is Eddie and I put in the harmony and BVs.
There are two rhythm guitar Realtracks - RT362 and RT500
The other guitars and bass are live and the drums are sampled midi.
The whole thing, from start to finish, was in Realband.

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE
You're running round town with a new guy every day
You're spending all my money, this time you're gonna have to pay
Something's gotta give, something's gotta change
Love is gonna have to wait
Sorry won't do this time, 'cos it's too little too late

You had a good run playing me for a fool
I had about enough, now you're gonna learn my rules
I can only bend so far before I break
You've really got to get this straight
Sorry won't do this time 'cos it's too little too late

I'm only gonna say this just one more time
So you'd really better concentrate
I'm not gonna stand for these cheating games
You know you're really tempting fate

If I'm gonna be your man, you're gonna quit running around
Your little game is over, there's a new sheriff in town
Something's gonna give, something's gonna change
Love is gonna have to wait
Sorry won't do this time, 'cos it's too little too late

Always grateful to those who have time to listen.

Cheers, ROG

ROG & Eddie,

Well, this guy is a real glutton for punishment!!

I like the groove. The combination of guitars drives the rhythm nicely. The bass comes through very well. (I thought the drums could be louder smile ).

Enjoyed the listen.

Yeah the Meatloaf comparison is very good.

This is just good old classic rock--great hook too.

Great job guys! Tons of fun!

What a tune! I thoroughly enjoyed this one. A great throwback to classic rock. Someone else mentioned Meatloaf, and I can definitely see where they are coming from. I love the progressions, I love the vocals, and it is perfectly catchy too. I wouldn't bat an eyelash if I heard this on a classic rock station.

You guys should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing smile

ROG & Eddie,
That woke me up!
I really enjoy the dirty guitars and energy of the backing... the live instruments sound great.
Good catchy chorus too - well done.

Great classic rock sung with an attitude -- what a surprise smile Nice harmony also.

And the ROG guitar work is always spot on!

Cool production...got the monitors bouncing on the shelf. Gonna listen this evening on our system with the sub.

Rock on y'all!

Nice rocker. Like the hook a lot. Good job on this one. I do agree with Floyd, the drums could come up just a tad.

Really enjoyed this.

So great rocking groove, that I don't mind losing pop feel. Reminds me of Status Quo. Great effect on vocals.

Hey, many thanks, Alyn.
Loved the Meatloaf reference.
This is a song which neither Eddie or I would have written on our own,
but that's what a collaboration is all about. It all helps the learning process.
Thanks for the listen and for kicking off the reviews.
Cheers, ROG.

Hi Floyd,
Yeah, he just soaks it up. I can't blame Eddie because I wrote the first verse!
Eddie just followed my lead when I got blocked.
Glad you liked it. I'll look again at the drums.
Many thanks, ROG.

I like the treatment on the main vocal though it's a little too up front for my taste.
Lift the drums a little please.
Nice collab gents. Very enjoyable.

Cheers

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
