Hi! Why is some of the words blanked out in the comments.
When I click on the comments, the blanked out word will show up just for a quick flash and the goes away. What is causing this?
Thanks, occ

Just to clarify... what 'comments' are you clicking on? Is it the comments button in Realband?

The forum? I haven’t seen anything like that happen on a desktop browser or iphone. Could you be more specific please? What are we looking for?

Can you reference a particular page? That would help us to test and try to reproduce.

Here is an example.
There is a blank spot after "When I {blank ) on the comments".
Also, "just for a quick{blank}and then goes away"
I hope you understand this example. occ

Are you using words the filter catches and bleeps them with asterisks or do you literally mean blank space? Are you on a phone or a computer? It might be hard coded returns if someone uses an enter key to move from line to line.

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

1. How much did you make in 2023?
2. Send it to us.

Maybe you could post a screenshot of a specific comment in which this is occurring. It would make it a lot easier to compare what is happening on our own devices.

I've been reading of cyber attacks that are directed at certain browsers. You might want to try a different browser.

Ok, the example shows missing words in forum posts.

Puzzle indeed. Even if they were offensive words they wouldn’t just be omitted, and it’s clear this isn’t offensive words.

What platform? PC or Mac or phone or ? What browser?

Weird.

It sounds like you’ve isolated the problem. Perhaps uninstall Firefox then download and install it again.

Yes, that is real weird! I also use Win 10 and Firefox and I do not have that problem. I think Matt's suggestion to reinstall Firefox is the way to go. If you still have this problem after the reinstall you may have a virus.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

occ,

Definitely a curious problem. I use Firefox all the time and have never had anything like this.

Do you use any of Windows enhancement to increase ease of reading?

Also, Have you tried zooming out to see if that gets all words displaying? (The zoom-in and zoom-out options are found under the "View" menu.)

Regards,
Noel

I use Firefox V62.0.2 (64 bit) on a Windows 7 laptop. I'm not having the missing words issue but I am having great difficulty accessing or using some websites.

This is a very recent update and I didn't have website issues until the update. Issues I'm experiencing include:
1) Firefox will not load a site landing page due to security issues.
2) Firefox stalls on a page and gives a pop-up stating a page is loading slow and do you want to terminate or wait.
3) Firefox doesn't completely load pages.

I haven't spent time figuring out how to roll back the update but I expect to do that tomorrow.

I went to the mozilla foxfire web site and clicked on "Refresh" instead of download and everything is working fine. Thanks for all the input. occ

Thanks for the tip. I never found the refresh button so I reinstalled. My version number moved from V62.0.2 to V62.0.3 which was released today (October 02).

A quick test indicates the update helped one site but didn't help another site.

I kind of got ticked a little bit because Mozilla requires you establish an account to initiate a bug report. One of the sites I have trouble with is the site Mozilla uses to establish an account so the exercise sort of becomes an endless circle.

Truthfully I'm very surprised as I've used Firefox as my main browser since back in the days of the IE / Firefox war and never experienced issues this weird.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
