Dave, I liked some elements of this track and others I was not so hot on. I really liked the composition, I love the string textures and I thought your lyric was really really good. I thought the vocal was a little strained at points. And I thought that the abrupt stops at the end of your segments were a bit too sharp...I like the idea of the stops right there, but maybe not so sharp-edged. I missed your earlier post so maybe you could lyric but for me I really like to read along as I listen. Also in general I love your focus on strain on your pieces… Keep it going!

Hello Dave,
I haven't heard the original but this nicely done. The strings compliment the melody very nicely. The only thing that caught my ear that might benefit from another look is the abruptness of the stops. If you could let the vocal and backing tracks fade a bit until you pick up again, I think that would be something to consider -just my opinion, though.
Terrific song!

In Band-in-a-Box® 2021 for Windows you can view the audio on any track in the Audio Edit Window.
While you're there, check out the new hotkeys we've added:
-Home key: moves the cursor to the beginning of a track.
-Home+Shift keys: move the left cursor to the beginning of a track.
-End key: moves the cursor to the end of a track.
-End+Shift keys: move the right cursor to the end of a track.
-Ctrl+A keys: select the whole track.

With Band-in-a-Box® 2021 we added some handy features to the Chord Sheet, which you can now copy-and-paste chords into with simple text! There are new zoom buttons, part-marker time signature display, additions to the right-click menu, and more.
