Hi all this a fun nonsense song I came up with.
The bridge is supposed to sound a little wacky.
All comments welcome.

[Link no longer valid]

Oh a piece of pizza pizza when its time to come and greet her.
She had a piece of mozzarella on her chin.

She is the nicest girly even though she may be burley.
And all her teeth a missing when she grins.

She came from back in Roma with her hair all up in rollers.
And she whistled dixie with on a whim.

She said now I am your chef though my pallet may be cleft.
I'm the greatest pizza maker ever seen

Although her legs where hairy she made some great spaghetti.
Her macaroni is not to be despised.

Though She heaven with lasagne she'll get it done Manyana
as she painted pink massacre on her eyes.

Oh pizza pizza pizza they all came out to meet her.
With salami and some vino on the side.

All the men where coy but where over come with joy
some day she'll even make the finest bride

Bridge

Oh pizza pizza pizza they all came out to meet her.
With salami and some vino on the side.

All the men where coy but over come with joy
some day she'll even make the finest bride

Bridge

Oh a peace of pizza pizza when its time to come and greet her.
She had a piece of mozzarella on her chin.

She is the nicest girly even though she may be burley.
And all her teeth a missing when she grins.
And all her teeth a missing when she grins.

"The bridge is supposed to sound a little wacky." you say? Those were carnival rides. Great big fun.

Loved the instrumentation and the sly vocal delivery. Funny lines. She knows the way to a man's heart.

Hi Rob,

Way too much fun here! Nice composition with lots of originality. Nice work! Now I'm hungry for a pizza but not to worry - our daughter is the regional office manager for most of the Dominos Pizza stores in Northern Alabama - most of our pizzas are free!

If you submitted this for the Pizza-oriented songs on Songtradr, good luck!

Alan

Rob,

A very fun song!
Italian Tarantella Rhythm is very nice.
Both rhythm and melody are quite different from this song, but I remembered a certain Italian song.
Its title is "Viva La Pappa Col Comodoro". Youtube link below.

It is also a very fun song as well as your song.
The food songs are always really fun, aren't they?
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Dear "Rob4580"

In my youth songs such as your "A Piece of Pizza" were labeled as "novelty" songs. They would pop-up in the midst of radio shows dedicated to every genre of music: pop, classical, easy listening, etc, just to provide a happy surprise to the listeners.

"A Piece of Pizza" is just as delightful, musically and lyrically speaking laugh . In fact, your lyrics are so clever and funny that I read them when I wasn't listening to song. It's really quite a comic monologue, perfect for a singer who wants to please a crowd. By the way, I think your singing voice is quite smooth! It possesses the kind of tone that some would describe as "romantic", with its warm vibrato quality.

It's quite refreshing to hear music created with one of Band-in-a-Box's "World" music styles. You could turn "A Piece of Pizza" into a quick one-act show if you dressed the part and choose a leading lady "with a piece of mozzarella on her chin"! crazy

Thoroughly entertained,

LOREN (a.k.a. "bluage")

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
