Great responses all.
Thanks so much.

Jim Fogle really gets to the crux of the biscuit (the apostrophe) in asking what I want it to do.

As I mentioned I use biab to build backing tracks that I play out over. I try to limit my tracks to primarily bass and drums.
I minimize chording instruments (piano,guitar,b3,pedal steel, accordian, etc) to keep focus on the guitar voice.

The arrangements are simple,
usually intro-head-improv solo-head-ending.
I work out melody/harmony and improvisation ideas for each song over the backing tracks.

I realize now I could use midi to finesse my arrangements, probably improving them. Some mention that they use midi particularly for bass and drums, the backbone of my backing tracks.

Truth is I spend more time now on my guitar than ever before in my life. I can see the results in a very positive way.

Real tracks may be adequate for now as I try to build repertoire and work on my improv.

I guess that's my real focus now.

I know in the future I can explore Midi with a lot of folks on this forum to help me on my way.

Thanks again to all who posted. I really appreciate it.
