Hi!

What a pretty song! The backing tracks were perfect - just enough to please the ears and not burry the vocal. I real vocal would be such a great treat for this splendid song. Acoustic at its best!

Alan

Thanks Alan

Well, I made a dry vocal track: The best I could. If anyone wants to collaborate, the project is @ Creative Commons: Tethered 2018 link below.
I don't have all the bells & whistle equipment for vocals. If someone wants to add duet vocals.... be my guest... I love collaboration

I read about the "normalization" of autotune/vocaloid effects yesterday.
The lyric and melody could use a "real" voice.
If you've a problem listening to your own voice you could use autotune or ReaTune to adjust your vocals, manually,so that they are natural and so that they are in tune.

Cheers

Wow man that was beautiful! The melody in this is wonderful! I would be very interested hearing this without the effect on the vocal also. This was nice! Thanks, Torrey

Hi rayc & Torrey Bliss

I sung thirty-tracks listening to my"To World" song and picked the best singing moments to re-create a "real" voice; one without the effects on the vocal; which I uploaded to the link (Creative Commons: Tethered 2018) below: I'm not happy with it. I probably sang out of tune, more than I know, while listening/singing through the voloco.app making this song demo on the fly after 3 trys. Oh yeah, I sang in Major "A" to my backtrack Wav. file. Voloco singing app didn't accept my mp3 format.

I don't have the expertise to capture the dynamics of my previous performance. From what I gather from the people in this forum I've heard. The User: gjohnson with his incredible song " dreamlovemaster" might fit the bill.

Other than saying that "I'm stuck"; trying to do justice to this song tired

At the heart of this is a really nice song,

I find the vocaloid distracting but you have written

and show a very strong and likable melody.

I would love to take a crack at singing this

if you aren't a perfectionist, I may not be able to hit every note

as it recorded here but if you're open to my interpretation.

I would change the title to something else

maybe "one more time" or" I'll try one more time"

Anyway, I like this , I think it's a good write

enjoyed the listen,

Kenny

I am normally not a vocaloid fan but the effect is strangely moving in this song, which is really lovely!! The effect adds to the isolated feeling of the emotion. It would be nice if it were more subdued. This is wonderfully emotional and moving! Excellent!! Take care. Greg

Thanks Greg,
I haven't found my comfort voice zone yet... but I am getting closer; on what might get me closer to finding my own singing style. Thanks so much for listening and commenting. Song writing is such a rollercoaster ride for me

Hello, LPman

Very nice song!
The melody is very beautiful.
And the spare arrangement perfect fits this.
I relatively love of Vocaloids and Vocoder effects among the members of this forum.
However, I cannot correctly tell whether it was necessary to use those effects for this song.
I agree with Tano Music.
Vocoder effect doesn’t deliver for your heartfelt lyric and I also think overall it would be so much better with the direct, close-up, stereo vocal.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks Shigeki,
I may need to buy a voice correction hardware pedal. My computer is not powerful enough for a vocal live plugin. I have tried to re-sing this song, but I can't re-capture the performance I did . I have FL- studio newtone, post manual voice correction, which is a time consuming gamble. In short I gave-up trying and made the song a creative common licence.

The Voloco.app people asked, if it was OK to put my song on their app featuring; top 10 song list. I said OK. A week later they asked what effect setting I used. I responded 8 hr later... I missed the boat for this week entry.

Update: I am on the Top 10 list.... laugh

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
