Half Past Midnight

Another guitar instrumental that I recorded several months ago. It's all BIAB. Hope you enjoy it. When I heard that drum track, I couldn't resist adding some other instruments and this is what I got. Di said to tell everyone "Hello" and thanks for the many kind messages of prayer and good wishes. I'll ditto her remark.

I added a some delay to the guitar and also included a very small hint of flange.

Thanks Peter! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to soon post a couple with my own guitar work. And yeah, the session guy was having a good day! I may have to give him a raise!

Wishing you the best.

Despite your comment at Sound-cloud, I found this very melodic and not the least bit noodly. This sounds wonderful in my 'phones and really moves over that beat. Really good stuff.

Nice track Alan. I see what you mean about that drum pattern, it's seriously infectious and what you've done is give it the perfect setting.

Alan, I loved the positive bounce in this piece! Really liked the changes that you constructed, I thought it gave the piece real nice movement. And I agree with you – – the drums are nice and perky and help with the overall Bop. Another excellent piece of orchestration with BIAB!

Hi Dave,

Glad you liked it! Thanks for the listen.

I have a dozen or so songs with me playing lead guitar and sometimes bass that I created with a different program. But I went back and replaced a couple of the tracks from the old program with BIAB tracks. Will post a few them soon. Best to you.

Alan

John,

Great to hear from ya! Would love to hear some more of your music - it's always fabulous.

When I heard that drum track, while searching for one for another song, it blew me away with its vibrance and drive for a relatively subtle track. It kept playing in my mind. Glad it works for you. Many thanks!

Alan

Alan,

You did a terrific job on this. A really nice mix.

That solo guitar RT is a real gem (I think) that not many people have used. It does SO many different things, so you have to "work with it" a lot to get something this cohesive - but well worth the effort here... Super. The added effects sound great, too...

Really enjoyed this.

Alan,

The whole sound is wonderful.
And it is a very unique sound.
Basically it is written by jazz chord progression, but the guitar is rock and the drum is very tight.
The added delay and flange to the guitar are very comfortable.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

All the best to both of you.

Al-David,

I don’t gravitate to instrumentals generally, but this is a great mix and kept my interest. Some killer guitar work on this which you’ve laid down well. Cool and slick listen--enjoyed it!

All the best,

Deej

very nice and sophisticated.

Is that the sound of the RT solo right outa the box smile or did you add any effects? If so did you use the DI option (I didn't look it up to see if it has one)?

I ask all that because the tone is great.

Well done and enjoyable!

J&B

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
