Christmas Is Waiting For You

The colors of Christmas are turning gray
The holiday spirit is fading away
I wish there were something to take away blue
The streetcorner carolers don’t have a clue.
Christmas is waiting for you.
None of it matters, nothing is right
My heart isn’t in it this Christmas night
Waiting is hard when time doesn’t flow
Maybe you’re lost somewhere in the snow
The ornaments are up there on the tree
The fire is burning like a jubilee
Christmas is waiting for you.
The lights are shining
The candles are lit
Bells are ringing
Children are singing
Snow is clinging
Christmas is waiting
The joy is long overdue
Christmas is waiting for you.

Hi Marty,

What a fabulous song you have created and performed! Love tha shuffle and fabulous jazz progression. The lyric is really, really good. Very nice selection of tracks. Your vocal is perfect- reminded me of Vic Damone with a softer voice. This is a super listen! Merry Christmas.

Alan

PS: That doorbell at the end was the perfect touch!

Great Christmas song idea!
Thanks Marty, very well done. Is that a live trumpet player? The solos were outstanding!
And loved the little humorous touch at the end!
The Season is really happening!

Marty,

This is a beautiful Christmas song... I love the style that you bring to it - Kenny said Vic Damone - I hear that as well. Just great all around.

I really enjoyed this.

Somehow I associate jazz with wintertime. I blame Vince Guaraldi and his scoring of A Charlie Brown Christmas. wink

So the jazzy intro was a perfect setup, and I loved the laid-back feel.

Nicely done!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Wonderful Christmas song!
It reminds me of famous standard Christmas songs of the past year.
Piano intro. is very nice.
Also the sound effect at the ending.

Marty, Christmas is a sad time for many lonely souls out there! You have captured that feeling in this one! I falls in that category of those classic blue type Christmas tunes! Nice job! Thanks, T
