Now i understand wy i not like BIAB currently. because the chords are not smooth transition and big jumps happen. there is a thread about that with a trick. seem very complicate. https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=506398#Post506398 I do not understand how this work. Maybe something more easy to use can add in future Biab. maybe Biab users can give more easy to use suggestions how this can implement better to use
I also think problem in Biab is that the transpose of tracks to fit chords do not preserve formants. this is important to have in vocal choir, electric guitars to let them transpose more. now as Biab is a a plugin maybe there can use melodyne buildtin with newest ara for transpose tracks easy in band in a box. the assistant melodyne allow change of formants, so can even more make smoother transients between transpose.

Good morning acdx2000. Using the Medley feature that's described in the other thread you read does help with transitions between chords. I will try to show you another way to insert instruments on a track you may find easier to do.
Select a bar where you are not satisfied with the transition. Example Bar 6 beat one is a C chord and Bar 7 beat one is an F chord. Select Bar 6
Select Bar Settings ( it's F5 on the American Keyboard or Right click with your mouse to open a menu and select Bar Settings from the menu or from the Main Screen, open Song Setting and select the Bar Settings Button.)
Near the top of the open window, select the RealTracks Button.
From the Menu that opens, in the top box, select the track you want RealTrack changes to take effect. These tracks relate to the Mixer and correspond to each Mixer Track from top to bottom. Bass, Piano, Drums, Guitar, Strings, Melody and Soloist.
In the smaller lower box, select the RealTrack you want to change to. Be sure to make note of the original Realtrack number of the instrument you are replacing because you will want to return to using this original track further into your Chord Chart.
For instance, if you are dissatisfied with the transition of Rhythm Guitar 2905 on track Mixer Track 4, Guitar and you decide to replace it with 2904.
Complete your search and make your selection replacing guitar 2905 with 2904 and select the Ok's to exit from the menus.
Decide which Bar you want to change back to your original guitar selection of 2905 and select that bar.
Enter Bar settings at the bar you've chosen. For example, you select bar 8.
Select the RealTrack Button and in the filter box - enter 2904 and this will bring the 2905 guitar into a small list where you select 2905 and exit the menus again.
Regenerate and these changes will take effect and your transitions should be much smoother. This works exactly like the other option already described but you are manually choosing specific bars and the number of bars affect by the change. Hope this helps.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
