Hallo! Ich habe vor einiger Zeit BIAB gekauft und bin jetzt bei der weihnachtlichen Ankündigung der neuen 2019-Version hellhörig geworden. Da steht, dass BIAB auch als Plugin in DAWs (bei mir Reaper) genutzt werden kann: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=506199&page=1Frage an euch: Ist das Plugin dann vollständig nutzbar, so wie als wenn ich das Programm als Standalone-Version öffnen würde? Bisher war mir nur bekannt, dass das BIAB-DAW-Plugin ermöglicht, die einzelnen Instrumentenparts direkt in die DAW zu ziehen (also die generierten Stimmen als MIDI in die DAW-Spuren zu ziehen). Wegen dieser Einschränkungen habe ich BIAB nur wenig genutzt. Aber wenn die neue Version erlaubt, direkt in der DAW bei dem BIAB-Plugin die Akkorde einzugeben, abzuspielen, aufzunehmen, in anderen Spuren mit anderen Synths dazu zu spielen, wäre das eine feine Sache. Weiß jemand von euch da Bescheid?

Hallo Mr. Wind, willkommen im Forum. Ja, Band in a Box 2019 wird auch als DAW-Plugin ausgeliefert und zwar als VST2, als VST3 und als AAX für Protools. Es sind alle wesentlichen Funktionen enthalten, aber rechne hier und da noch mit einigen Nicklichkeiten und Holpern – es ist eine komplett neue Programmvariante und da klappt nicht alles auf Anhieb (PGMusic ist aber erfahrungsgemäß schnell am Beheben von Bugs). Am besten du schaust dir mal das Video hier an https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=CVShb4lZr4w oder du nutzt das 30-Tage-Rückgaberecht zum Testen der 2019er Version. Ein Upgrade finde ich empfehlenswert, auch aus anderen Gründen.

Hallo zusammen,
Ich hab mir vor ein paar Tagen gerade erst leider Biab 2018 zugelegt. Jetzt sehe ich das es das 2019 als Plug -in gibt was für mich eine großes Kaufargument wäre. Meine Frage dazu: Aber es gibt ja die 30-Tage-Geld zurück Garantie. Hat das schon mal jemand gemacht und wie funktioniert das?

herzlich willkommen im Forum.
Wo hast du die Version 2018 gekauft? Wenn du sie bei m3c in Berlin erworben hast, kannst du dich direkt dorthin wenden, die sind der deutsche Vertriebspartner. Falls das nicht klappt oder du woanders gekauft hast, wende dich mit Kaufnachweis ggf. an den PGMusic-Support und erkläre denen die Situation. Die sind normalerweise sehr hilfreich, ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass die die Lizenz gegen eine 2019er tauschen. Viel Glück.

Danke für den guten Tipp, Hatte das hier auf der Seite gekauft und wurde problemlos in eine Biab 2019 getauscht. Ist zwar im Moment die englische Version aber das wird sich ja noch ändern.

das freut mich, dass es gut geklappt hat.
Ich habe auch nur gute Erfahrungen mit dem Support gemacht, das ist bei anderen Softwareanbietern selten geworden.

Ich habe jetzt mit dem Plugin etwas gearbeitet und muss meinen Post etwas ergänzen: Das Plugin bietet doch im Vergleich zum Vollprogramm eine nur auf die wesentlichen Aufgaben beschränkte Funktionalität. Es lassen sich Songs laden und generieren, auch Styles wählen und Tempo und Tonart ändern. Aber alles was tiefergeht (z.B. Melodien notieren) oder was die Darstellung angeht(z.B. Schriftarten wählen) geht nicht oder zumindest noch nicht. Das Plugin ist auch beim Generieren deutlich langsamer als das Hauptprogramm. Und es gibt leicht mal einen Crash bei komplexeren Aufgaben.

der deutsche Vertriebspartner von PG Music ist M3C in Berlin, erreichbar unter m3c.de. Dort erhältst du ein deutsches Update und die Vollverisonen von BiaB 2019 üblicherweise immer ab Ende März 2019. Bislang hatte auch M3C in den ersten Wochen nach Verfügbarkeit rabattierte Frühbestellerangebote für Updates und Vollversionen.
Du kannst alternativ jetzt über den Onlinestore pgmusic.com ein englisches Update kaufen (per Download) und dies dann später mit dem deutschen Sprachpaket auf Deutsch umstellen. Dieses German Language Pak wird hier vom Support bereitgestellt, sobald es übersetzt ist und beinhaltet dann auch ein deutsches Handbuch zu Band in a Box als PDF. Du hast dann aber natürlich für die Buchhaltung keine ordentliche Rechnung mit Umsatzsteuer, falls du den Softwarekauf beruflich absetzen möchtest.
