Changing The World

Challenged to write a song about a misunderstanding I came up with three bloopers from history ( so this one was co written by Google)and asked Scott to give it an early FabFour treatment.

RealTracks RT 1577 PianoAcoustic Soul 60`sSync Ev110

Changing The World
(One Mistake at A Time)

clock turns back to World War One
see the Black Hand man with a gun
Archduke`s driver can`t keep his cool
turns left not right he`s fortune`s fool
oh no!
Black Hand man fires the gun
starting World War One

jump ahead to World War Two
Japan says what? Truman`s no clue
translator can`t keep his cool
they didn`t say that he`s fortune`s fool
oh no!
Fat Man falling through the blue
ending World War Two

false alarm
faux pas or a crime
changing the world
one mistake at a time

today we dodged World War Three
that looks like missiles on the screen
Norad man can`t keep his cool
the Russians aren`t coming he`s fortune`s fool
oh no!
stand down repeat
cancel World War Three

false alarm
faux pas or a crime
changing the world
one mistake at a time
changing the world
one mistake at a time

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Very cool concept, Robert! I like what you did here, very clever.

Nice job with the vocal production, loved the "Oh no!" bit and the way you handled the bridge.

And Scott always has a knack for adding just what the songs needs.

Nicely done, enjoyed the listen!

Sounds like R.E.M. to me

really catchy

at first the delay on the guitar was throwing me, seemed to clash with the drums

went back for a second listen, I think its fine, if it was me I would've made that first

verse more stripped down.

I've written a song about Truman, I could fit your second verse right into mine,

it's about American history, no one seems to remember that other Presidents

split the nation, Harry once had an approval rating of 22!

enjoyed the song as I always do when you guys post

A clever write. The production was interesting - fitting for the subject matter. The string quartet was an excellent choice.

Scott's guitar work works well, too. Y'all need a band name!

This was another fun project. Had to do a little research working on the actual song. Went through quite a few of the Beatle songs to get a feel for the tone and George's style. Boy he did some really cool stuff. Simple but so effective and complimentary to the song. As I was signed and sealed Beatlemanic when I was a kid and have to admit still am, this was allot of fun to work on.

Robert has such a cool way with lyrics and melodies. Look forward to 2019.. Merry Christmas Everyone..

This one came out of left field- its fun to be challenged and have to go Googling on a subject sometimes.
And of course I know Scott`s got my back!

Kenny,

Yup, we have very short memories when it comes to history... maybe that helps us sleep!
I can hear how that opening verse could have had more of a build. Good comments- we appreciate your support!
I`ll go looking for your Truman song.

Thanks for those positives,Floyd.
Oh now I`ll stop writing songs for days thinking up names... off the top I kinda like Junkyard Angel (a line from our first collaboration).

I guess it was only fitting that we listened to this on a day when the news is full of stories about Russia's new missile delivery system!

Clever and potent.

Your arrangement, the BiaB band and Scott are all in the pocket to support your write and vocal.

You guys have had some great productions this year and we look forward to more!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
