MD orchestra

I purchased the AMaDeus Orchestra and wanted to have you hear what it sounds like. I know that the woodwinds are the low spot of this software but I used a clarinet for the lead anyway.

BiaB style = Orchestral 12/8
The guitar track was modified and became French Horns.
The strings were modified, as was the double bass.
The cellos are a copy of the double bass and raised an octave.
The clarinet was played via my wind controller and had a touch of EQ.
The choir, timpani and cymbals were via my keyboard controller.
All but the bass had a touch of reverb.
The master bus had a touch of compression.

As always I am open for any opinions that you may have, good or bad.

Have a safe, prosperous and happy New Year.

{edit} - note there is 7 seconds of silence at the beginning. Soundcloud added them as they are not in the wav that I sent up. Don't know why.

Mario,

What a lush sound... Lots of textures and I love the dryness of the clarinet.

Excellent!

Really nice work Mario smile Reminds me of something like Brian Eno a little bit. Very vibrant and I love the gentle flow the tune has. Almost like floating in outer space - definitely sets an eerily beautiful atmosphere.

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,

Thanx so much Bob. That orchestra is lush sounding and is one of my favorite orchestras now.

Thanx Scott. The woodwinds are not as good as the rest of the orchestra, at least IMO. But with the comments about people liking the clarinet I may have to change my opinion.

I really appreciate your comments Deryk. I'll have to dig out some of my old Brian Eno vinyl now and give a listen.

Yes that orchestra was the best $99 I have spent in a long time.

Excellent sound. It seems a real human orchestra playing in a auditorium or a theater.
Super melody you made.

Happy new Year.

Mario..thanks for doing this..I like the orchestral sounds and textures a lot. Just before my HD went kablooey I was working on some orchestral music as well, so it’s timely for me..I think the clarinet sounded great, with the right amount of room effect. It’s fun using the orchestral pieces, like timpani, for a change, and you constructed your track nicely without making it overbearing.

Thanks, as always, for your inquisitiveness and creativity!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
