I selected a all midi style in ZZFSHROK and generated it rendered zero zip no midi data at all I can drag the right hand yellow button and get an audio file, but no midi data. I expanded the screen and nothing. I am desperately trying to post a screen shot but nothing works. I posted one the other night no joy tonight.
Anyway no midi, tried 2 separate styles all midi and no data

Update. I tried this same exact procedure in both Cakewalk by bandlab and Reaper
Cakewalk not only did not have midi but would not even drag a track to the tracks view.
Reaper acted just like Studio one in the above first test. It would drag over but contained no midi data.
So in studio one I had no drums, no organ, but I did have piano, bass, and guitar
Before you ask I did use VSTi instruments for each track. there is just no data in those two tracks.

Thanks Mike, I had read that thread before, the problem is I am not getting the midi data in some of the tracks. In the style I mentioned, 3 of the 5 tracks had data the other 2 had nothing. I opened both of those styles in BiaB and Realband and the data was there. I can drag the right icon and get an audio track so it’s there somewhere, just not usable for midi playback.

This is one of the many reasons that I quit messing with the VSTi.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Ok I see where you are coming from, just to make things clear here is a pic. After I generated from one of my songs mgu with midi melody. You will notice that the melody and soloist which are genuine midi tracks with my own midi notes input, contain two yellow icons the left hand midi skt icon drags as midi data. The resulting midi track also honours any patch changes made in bar settings the righthand left facing arrow drags and resolves to audio. The piano track on the other hand is a reaktrack and has a green icon on the left that resolves as audio on dragging, but the yellow one on the right with the eight note in it drags and resolves as midi data. Therefore I conclude to get midi data the yellow square must contain a midi skt icon or a eight note icon, if it contains the arrow you get audio. Mike
I would conclude that as well but I had 5 midi tracks in the style, and no audio. 3 of them contained data, and Two didn’t. I not sure what to conclude from that. I guess just wait and see if anyone from PG comments on this issue. I am hoping the next plugin build hits soon as it’s been over a week now since 1.9.28. It would be real cool to see about 90% of these issues go away and the thing just flat out work. On RT only styles I am getting pretty solid results, with the occasional faux paw

That’s Canadian for fox paws . Yes I know it’s spelled faux pas but that confuses those from Montana with the mountain pass called Fox Pass between Calgary and Montana where Dudley Do-Right saved Nell Finwick from the evil avalanche scheme of Snidley Whiplash.
Just being clear here!

RobH, I'm wondering if the track that didn't generate was drums. If it is then open Band-in-a-Box and check your RealDrums settings. I'm guessing if RealDrums substitution is enabled then the setting may interfere with generation of the Drums track.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
