Greetings!

This is my attempt at a 50's style Doo_Wop song. smile

Tell Me Darling

I performed all voices and electric pianos.

The rest is BIAB:

Style is PERCY!~.STY (Percy - Slow 12/8 50s Pop)
Style MIDI Instruments are : Acoustic String Bass (33), Acoustic Piano (1)
RealTracks in song: 1572:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Soul60sHighA-B Ev 110
RealTracks in song: ~484:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Jazz Ballad Sw 085
RealDrums in Song: SouthernPop12-8Soul^01-a:Hat, Snare, b:Open Hat, Snare

Lyrics:

Tell me darling,
Why the stars and the moon
Shine much stronger
When I'm looking at you
And the sky is so much bluer
Since I fell in love with you

Tell me darling
If I showed up with two
Dozen roses
Would you know that it's true
So afraid you wouldn't notice
That I fell in love with you

Please tell me darling, that you're ready for this night
A night that you won't forget
Your happiness is the only dream I long for
I can't get you outta my head

Tell me darling
That you feel this way too
That you'll never
Make me feel like a fool
That our love will be forever
And i'll give my love to you

Please tell me darling, that you're ready for this night
A night that you won't forget
Your happiness is the only dream I long for
I can't get you outta my head

Tell me darling,
If I hold so tight
That you'll love me
For the rest of our lives
Give me more than just this moment
And I'll give my love to you

thanks for listening!

This sir is not an 'attempt' it's a Rocket Launch to the moon. This song is excellent at every level. You've nailed the genre, lyrical subject matter, your vocal is spot on for the song and they harmonies are totally 'harmonious'. You've done a great write, arrangement, production and performance. This is top notch and I truly hope to hear something from you again soon. I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks for posting.

Rob, excellent!

It does sound like a tune from 1950s that have been remastered really well smile

In my opinion some of the best pop music was born in 1950s. It is a shame so few try to comeback to that goodness. You sure got a feel for it, don't let it go smile Thank you very much for sharing!

Misha.

Yesh, you have captured very authentic 50's mood, musically and lyrically. Your voice is just perfect for the song. And those backing vocals make me smile smile

I'll wager you had a lot of fun writing & recording this one...
But not as much fun as I had listening to it...
I like it... Thank you!

One of my favorite compilation CDs is one full of Doo [*****] ballads. Your song fits along side those on the album. Brilliant production and vocals. I enjoyed this very much.

Dear Rob,

I immediately had the same idea as Charlie had: This is not an attempt !!!

Instead, it sounds more like a blueprint for so many songs that we all loved (and at least as far as I'm concearned) still love. You're a great songwriter and you have a incredibly good sense of how your songs have to be arranged..

Again, a flawless production, beautifully sung and played - even if they paid me for criticizing: I wouldn't find anything that's not perfect.

Cheers,

Stefan

Sounds great Robert. As I am saying to all, sorry I can't be more loquacious. I am listening to everything but these next six months are mad crazy with my work, so I will just have to listen and say I love it.

Please bear with me during this time.

Great will mean great. I am listening.

Gotta agree with Charlie on this. One of the best recreation of that sound and era I've ever heard.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
