Hi all,
If someone wants to write lyrics for this song and sing it, it would be a pleasure for me. Christian

Chris,

I'm hearing hints of the Beatles (don't remember the title). We have several excellent lyricists frequenting these forums. Maybe one of them will jump in and help you.

A question that they will have is; what genre are you shooting for? I hear potential in several genres. Pin that down first.

Our dear Joanne Wilson-Cooper is expert in Folk and Country genres; Floyd Jane is a very successful Nashville Country writer, David Snyder writes Country and Pop, Josie (aka Sundance) is a Country/Pop lyricist extraordinaire, etc. There are great writers aboard in every genre.

I happen to know that Joanne Cooper stays very busy with her music but she is kind and helpful to everyone. Let's hope that she or others will throw you a lifeline.

And welcome aboard!

Nice work, Christian. This tune flows tremendously well. I'm hoping someone can pair some vocals to this! The tune definitely inspired some melodies for me. I thought the mix job was top notch too - thanks for sharing smile

Christian,
I don't/can't sing but these lines popped into my head as I listened to the keyboard melody.

Words, they’re just words
But they show the workings of my mind
Ghosts, they’re just ghosts
They’re the only memories I can find

Nothing else makes sense
Just memories I can rewind

Thoughts, they’re just thoughts
But they make me feel I’m going blind
Play, through the day
To this repetition I’m resigned

Nothing else makes sense
The world inside is defined

Words, not just words
They describe the contents of my mind
Ghosts, not just ghosts
They’re the only loves that I could find

Nothing else makes sense
My ghosts keep all that we find

Cheers

Christian,
nice tune. I like pop motif with harder instrumentals. Easy listen, yet rocky. Nicely mixed too.

Ray caught it just right smile Would love to try to sing it!

Best regards,
Misha.

Hi rayc,
Thank you for taking the time to write these lyrics.
Living in the past is a good theme for this music.
Have you an idea for the title of this song ? Perhaps " Words and ghosts "......Christian

Hi Christian,

another nice tune of yours. Like Misha wrote: a nice mix of easy-listening and a rocking touch. Very enjoyable and to me it's a good listen even without vocals. But I'm sure one of the guys will crown it with good lyrivs and great singing.

Cheers,

Stefan

Hi Chris ...

Love the music! It has attitude but not too edgy. Hoper someone helps you out with lyrics and vocal.

Best to you ...

Alan

A very nice collaboration...
Congratulations to both of you!
Why not make a new post titled "Words and Ghosts" so other users can more easily find your song & comment...
I found it accidentally... Just saying.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
