Loaded in the 'select midi supertrack' folder the demo plays OK, probably wma audio, but when i loaded it the song i wanted to try it in only a few chords play with Halion Sonic set as default GM synth.
Other SMTs play fine in the same song, same piano track, and Halion Sonic as GM default. Like a similar one: 2185 ...
So then i loaded the same one with sForzando instead of directing it to Halion Sonic, as piano track VST, and it worked OK.
Then it even got weirder: Instead of sForzando i loaded Halion Sonic as piano-track VST, it played OK. Beats me !
==> In regards of the issues with Halion Sonic SE on some BIAB systems, there might be and issue with the way Halion Sonic handles GM data sent from BIAB in to the default VST slot; maybe that's where the problem lies?.
PS Never had problems with GM in Cubase and Halion Sonic (HS-SE is the default when you load a midi file like saved from BIAB) F
This is probably because 1885 uses a HiQ instrument by default. which uses Sforzando. Try right-clicking on the track | Select MIDI Instrument | Select HiQ, and select "None".
I'm not sure about 2185, that might be a typo because it is an RT, not an MST.
Should be 2108, typo indeed, sorry, and this SMT behaves 'normal' with Halion Sonic as GM default synth, NO track inserted VST instrument thus. ...
When i load 1885 instead and also routed to the default Halion Sonic (with settings see below pic 02), just a few midi notes are on the piano track, see pictures. But if i use either sForzando OR Halion Sonic as TRACK VST inserted, the midi data generate normally:

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
