Hi all,
Here's the result of our collaboration.

https://soundcloud.com/christian-devienne/words-and-ghosts

Singing : Misha
Lyrics and Mix : Ray Cochrane
Music : Christian Devienne

Words, they’re just words
But they show the workings of my mind
Ghosts, they’re just ghosts
They’re the only memories I can find
Nothing else makes sense
Just memories I can rewind
Thoughts, they’re just thoughts
But they make me feel I’m going blind
Play, through the day
To this repetition I’m resigned
Nothing else makes sense
The world inside is defined
Words, not just words
They describe the contents of my mind
Ghosts, not just ghosts
They’re the only loves that I could find
Nothing else makes sense
My ghosts keep all that we find

Such an awesome collaboration. I wouldn't have known three different people worked on it if you hadn't stated as much.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the opportunity to collaborate Chris. The melody grabbed me straight away and the words came almost instantaneously. Misha's expressive vocal is bang on for this song.

Cheers

Chris, Ray and Misha,

You've done a great job with this creation. It's a pleasure to sit back and listen to it.

Chris, your music is written and arranged with style; Ray, your lyrics create a mood that partners Chris's music wonderfully well; Misha, your half-spoken-half-sung vocal delivery is mesmerising.

Loved it!
Noel

Hi Chris, Ray and Misha,

well, well, well - if that ain't a great result, congratulations on a very successful international collaboration. I'd wish that all international relationships would work as well and lead to such great results like this very loveable song!

All the best,

Stefan

Good work y'all!

You established a very contemplative feel with the write.

The notion of using words to define the workings of the mine seems obvious but actually it's quite evocative. Brings up thoughts of how the mind would work in the absence of language, etc.

The style of vocal delivery and the production along with the above deliver a fascinating and well done production.

We enjoyed it...kudos!

A very good collaboration!
Melody and lyrics go well together and Misha ( singing in a slightly more restrained style than I`ve heard before), catches the mystery.
Backing tracks sound excellent.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
