You are correct that tag endings are not currently an option in the Band-in-a-Box VST DAW plugin. We have added that as a feature request on the plugin wishlist.

I'm more than a bit annoyed about this. When I was thinking about upgrading to Biab 2019 someone on the sales team told me that you could do everything in the plug-in that you can do in Biab. That was the clincher for me. But it's not true.
If you could do everything in the plugin the main program can do what would be the purpose of the program?
View the plugin as a BiaB lite for use in the daw. The main program to create larger projects.

Yes I would say so, once they get the ReWire working then you can stay in BB if you are seasoned users and have complex settings in a song. But for those new DAW only users that don't want to learn all BB then the simple to use Plugin is the way to go.
Please advise then: if I have a song in biab with tag ending, what is easiest way to get it into my DAW (reaper) as separate wave files? (render the waves files from biab to hard drive and then import them into Reaper?) Thanks.
Just watch the Render section in the video that is the easiest way, the other steps just show how to get the chords into Reaper.

Have a look at REATRAK for REAPER you can import the chords from BB/RB (MusicXML) to Reaper's regions and/or the part markers, then in Reaper > Extensions > Region Playlist (or Arranger button in REATRAK) With Reaper's API's sending the chords from the Biab Plugin to Reaper is possible along with tempo map and time signature changes, it would also be able to get the chords, tempo map, time signature changes from Reaper and import to the Biab Plugin.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
