This post is made in hopes that PG Music will resolve the freeze up issue in Mixcraft8.
As soon as the BIAB VST3 plugin is selected in Mixcraft8, it freezes Mixcraft8 and has to be shut down using Task Manager. I have the latest version of both programs so any past issues that have been posted are no longer valid in both forums. This is the only plugin that I have that doesn't work with Mixcraft8.
Mixcraft8 is not the most popular DAW but it is surly popular with struggling musicians and song writers that are on a budget and can do as much and more, as some the more popular expensive DAWS. Being able to run VST plugins has certainly made Mixcraft8 worth its weight in gold. The BIAB VST plugin is one of the main reasons I purchased BIAB 2019, please just look into it PG MUSIC.

The BIAB VST plugin is one of the main reasons I purchased BIAB 2019, please just look into it PG MUSIC. hello Koz i have the same problem. something that works for me is the following. with mixcraft open i then open the bb vst select a file or song demo or real track. press generate, when generation has completed drag the song or tracks into mixcraft...mixcraft then freezes but if i right click the mixcraft icon in windows taskbar click close and then an option for mixcraft comes up saying song has changed ,do you want to save or cancel..i click cancel and mixcraft unfeezes and i can then carry on working...problem is i have to do this everytime i drag anything new into mixcraft. one of these following guys had a work around also but i cant find the post at moment video track..noel 96...pipeline... rumour has it that its being reported to pg music hope you can get working with it. mixcraft is a great easy program to work with.
rebuilt styles,songs and real tracks.
win 10...amd a10 radeon r6 4c+6g 1.8ghz
64 bit hp envy
biab 2023 with 1004 build. styles 1 to 429 plus extras 1,2,3,4 and 6.
running as admin,cleaned up returned to factory settings.

Same with me , I am using sonar at the moment but really would prefer Mixcraft.

If you start Reaper again did it unfreeze ?

I don't have reaper , I was using sonarthough it never worked again.

I tried it with Reaper and it unlocks it every time but SONAR only worked once.
The easiest thing to do is when it has finished generating just drag the files in from C:\bb\BBPlugin\SavedTracks and it won't freeze, list it by Date to put the newest folder at the top.
