Hallo Forumler,
bisher war ich immer nur lesend im Forum unterwegs und konnte manche Probleme mit BiaB auf diese Weise lösen. Aber dass BiaB gar nicht startet, dazu habe ich hier nichts gefunden. Ich bin allerdings auch nicht versiert im Umgang mit Foren etc. und würde mich sehr freuen, wenn man mir hier helfen könnte.
Das Problem:
bisher habe ich mit BiaB 2017 unter WIN7 gearbeitet. Da Microsoft den Support dafür bald einstellt, habe ich mich zum Upgrade auf WIN10 entschlossen. Alles läuft auch - bis auf BiaB 2017. Dieses startet nicht mehr; es erscheint kurz das Startlogo und das war's. Ich habe BiaB de- und wieder neu installiert; keine Änderung. Auch "als Administrator starten" ändert nichts. RealBand startet übrigens. Hat jemand eine Idee?

Hallo Cluster,
gehe mal über den Explorer in den Ordner \bb dort müssten 2 Prgrammversionen zu finden sein. bbw.exe und bbw64.exe.
Das sind die 32- und die 64-Bit Version des Programms. Klicke mit der rechten Maustaste mal auf die 32-Bit-Version bbw.exe und wähle aus dem Menu "als Admininistrator starten". Läuft das Programm dann?

Hallo Brille, danke für die Antwort. Im bb Ordner gibt es keine bbw64.exe, nur die bbw.exe, die auf den Desktop verlinkt ist und immer genutzt wurde. Sie startet aber auch "als Administrator" nicht. Ich muss dann per Taskmanager beenden. Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass in der Spalte "Status" des Taskmanagers der Eintrag "inaktiv" bei "Band-in-a-box-Applicatin 32bit" steht. Hat das ggf. etwas mit dem Startproblem zu tun?

Ah, sorry, ich hatte ja übersehen, dass du ein älteres BiaB 2017 installiert hattest. Ich war von der aktuellen Version ausgegangen. Aber auch die 2017er sollte unter Win 10 laufen. Ich weiß es allerdings gar nicht mehr ganz genau. Ich habe Win 10 auch erst recht spät, also ungefähr parallel zu BiaB 2018 installiert. Evtl. ei e Frage für den Support, hast du mal support@pgmusic.com mal angefragt?

Das habe ich gemacht; der Support schrieb mir dies:
If you have clicked on your Band-in-a-Box program shortcut or the bbw.exe file and the program won't load, please try the following:
1. Open your Windows Task Manager (Control Alt Delete) and see if any instances of Band-in-a-Box are running. If they are, force quite them by clicking "end task"
2. Next, go into your c:\bb folder and delete the following two files: Mysetup.dk and intrface.bbw.
3. Once that is done, find the bbw.exe file in the bb folder, right click, and select "run as administrator". Then wait a few moments without doing anything to see if the program launches.
Ich habe das mehrfach erfolglos probiert und es dem Support gemeldet; bisher habe ich aber nichts mehr gehört.

ich hatte da vor nicht all zu langer Zeit ein ähnliches Problem.
Ich habe dann folgende Antwort bekommen und es hat wunderbar funktioniert.
Bitte löschen Sie manuell alle Dateien im Ticketordner, den Sie hier finden:
C: \ Benutzer \ Öffentlich \ Ticket
Unter Windows XP sind sie hier zu finden:
C: \ Dokumente und Einstellungen \ All Users \ ApplicationData \ ticket
* Wenn sich in diesem Ordner "Test" Tickets befinden, löschen Sie diese ebenfalls
Starten Sie schließlich Band-in-a-Box, indem Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Datei
bbw.exe in Ihrem bb-Ordner oder einer Programmverknüpfung auf Ihrem Desktop klicken und
"Als Administrator ausführen" wählen, um das Programm zu starten.
** Wenn Sie gefragt werden, ob Sie die Lizenz wiederherstellen möchten, sagen Sie "Nein".
Einmal geöffnet, gehen Sie zu Hilfe | Aktivieren Sie Band-in-a-Box und geben Sie Ihre
Seriennummer bei Bedarf erneut ein.
Beim Umstieg auf Windows 10 habe ich auch gleichzeitig eine große SSD eingebaut. Offensichtlich erkennt BiaB diese Aktion als neuen PC.
