Hi all
I need to ask a favour if anyone has a couple of mins.
My web site host has had problems with DOS attacks and restricted access to some Ips
At the moment I cant see it from the UK.
However if I go to my web page counter site I can see that I am still getting hits from somewhere.
It would help me to Know if you can reach my website from the link in my signature,
As you are so world wide.

Thanks for trying seems widespread have to wait for my host to sort out.
sorry for any inconvenience this causes any one .

Down here too.
It appears that the DNS finds the host, but the host doesn't return anything.
Most likely the host server, but also possible that the DNS points to the wrong IP/server.
See Ping result below for the IP that gets reported here (so you can check the DNS)

Request timed out.
I suppose Ping could be disabled, but not likely on a web server like that.

Thank you all for your help on this. Everything back to normal again after a lot of work by my host due to attack.
So pop in and have a look some time, there are a few of my Biab mgu and sgu on my freebies page and lots of articles on midi, inst def, and pat files that I have done for your download. Plus various music and keyboard technical bits and bobs.

DOS attacks can be rough for hosting providers. Getting a server to respond while under attack can be an effort in futility. Sometimes the server just has to be taken down/offline in order to be recovered. Sorry you had to experience that. Not much a public host/provider could do to prevent a random attack, just try to mitigate & recover. Glad you're back online. It loaded fine here tonight too. Loads also in the netherlands, but clicking on any song gives server error, probably due my VPN proxy intermittant, some sites i cannot access. ... i use firefox. Message: Unable to connect Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at www.box.net. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
