Just in time for Halloween...
Whoops... Valentine's Day.
Here is a song from 2017 FAWM...

Technical Info:
Biab file: For Me.MGU
Style: Blank2.sty

Lyrics: For Me © J Hughes

Flying dragons may not fly
Weeping willows may not cry
Fairy tales may not pull through
But this one thing I know is true
Cause when I see you standing there
Breezes dancing in your hair
I know you will always care
And be there for me

For me for me
For me for me
I know you will always care
And be there for me
For me for me
For me for me
I know you will always care
And be there for me
For me

********* More info*********

This song was originally conceived as a duet but the female vocalist was a no show

"Flying dragons may not fly
Weeping willows may not cry"

Well, that will certainly grab you right from the get-go. Very nice.

Short and compact but it delivers a wonderful sentiment.

We enjoyed this!!

Thanks for your kind comments...
As I said, this song has a 2nd but it was designed to be a duet...
Her verse would go something like this...

Unicorns may be just myths
Hershey kisses never kiss
Santa never had a list
But this one thing I know exists
Cause when I feel you lying there
Gently playing with my hair
I know you will always care
And be there for me

If I remember correctly, that was the FAWM prompt of the week...
To me, those specific prompts is what makes FAWM a great challenge for anyone...
At least they are challenging to me & I enjoy them.

I love the lyrics and the second verse you later posted. Man! Too bad the female singer was a no show. The harpsichord(?) was an excellent choice in your production. I hope you add the second verse in the near future.

Enjoyed the listen, Jim.

I like the "For me" repetition in the chorus... a good technique that few people ever use in their writing...

Okay, the bit about the dragons right off the top really sucked me in to the song. Thanks for sharing!

Jim,

I love this sound!!! It's fantastic. To my ears, there are shades of the France on this arrangement. It really appealed to me.

All the best with FAWM.... I admire all who take part. I think it's an incredible effort.

Best regards,
Noel

Jim,
this is one of the best of yours from what I heard. It is a shame that vocalist was a no show, but you laid the path very nicely. Should be a breeze to sing female part if you find a volunteer, if not, it is great as it is!

Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

I was going to say it reminded me of Pachelbel, then I read the other comments smile

Good song, Jim, I enjoyed the listen!

Hello, Jim

Nice Valentine song!
I think that the chord progression of Pachelbel's canon is the progression which is easy to make a duet song.
I also think this tune will be more lovely if it is sung with the female vocalist.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

This is great Jim!

it really elevates when the singing in the round chorus/verse part comes in

I would like to hear it as a duet with the missing verse added

strong writing and good recording

Kenny

Jim, I knew I recognized the chord progression, then I read the comments. Good lyrics and a nice chorus. You should repost it after you get the second verse. Nicely done, Tom

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
