Hi Folks!
was working on this tune for the past 2 weeks. Migrating music
projects to new computer was a bit of a challenge, but finally
happened and this song ia a "child" of old system and a new one. Not
a polished song by any means, just a sketch. Maybe will come back to
it one day to groom it some more. Healthy critique is always welcomed! Thank you for tuning in.

Together

BIAB- I used Reggae Guitar and reggae organ, do not recall numbers as
BIAB project is on old computer. vArranger midi, my arrangement.
Synths of Halion and my favorite DAW Cakewalk.

You like bacon, I like ice cream
You like sad films, I like fighting
But when I hold your hand, light as a feather
Heaven and earth collide together.

This train picking up pace
snow covers ground with silver lace
smudging the line between day and the night
white on black, black on white.

You like dreaming, I like sleep walking
You like jeans, I like you in silk stockings
But when you laugh, or when you are crying
It feels like planets are colliding

This plane picking up height
piercing heavy clouds, where the sun shines
leaving dusty earth behind,
winter that's harsh and unkind

You like pretty flowers blooming,
I like reading books sad and gloomy,
but when you touch my heart with doctor's precision
My world explodes in nuclear fission

This thought picking up speed
racing with time on a one way street
and its unclear who will win this game
who will rule this domain?

A really nice engaging lyric and vocal with some excellent work on the sounds and composition.
Very nice indeed for a "sketch".

As usual Misha, you have a disarmingly honest, fresh lyric.
The reggae guitar with long delays reminds me of some cool Dub recordings I had in the 80s.
The "Fart" synths in the quite start to the outro are fun.
Yes, you should revisit this and complete it some time soon.

Cheers

Sounds good, Misha! I like the delay effect you used on the guitar, very effective.

You have a knack for writing an interesting lyric that paints a picture!

Good song, it has good bones and is definitely worth polishing.

Love all the imaginary in your lyrics and great contrasts that create tension on the song.

We much enjoyed the "sketch."

The video possibilities for your imagery are endless...really nice!

The vocals and backing tracks all support the lyric well. We like reggae and reggae influenced work so this is right in our wheelhouse. The synths are cool!

We feel that it is more than worthy of a revisit.

Enjoyed it.

Wow - the contrast of the serious tone with those unique, almost abstract lyrics makes for a wonderful listening experience. Very vivid and detail lyricism in this, which for me makes it very memorable. Nicely catchy too, and I thought the mix was concise and professional.

Thanks for sharing smile

Misha,

this is one of the most terrific arrangements I have heard for a long time - gorgeous !!! As usually the lyrics are great, too. I do love what you're doing! A lot !

Kind regards,

Stefan

Misha,

Very cool! Love the combination of instruments. The crisp guitar and prominent bass are standouts. Nice arrangement. I thought the drums could have been a bit more "present" with such a driving groove. Cool lyric.

This sounds like something the Talking Heads might have done. I really like it.

This was definitely an interesting contrast, but I think the combination works well! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us here on the forum.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
