Hello, forum friends After a little blank, this is my first post of this year. I stumbled over the sidewalk curb at the end of last year, I fell and fractured my right hand and my right cheek and was hospitalized until recently. Fortunately last week my doctor removed the plaster cast of my right hand, so I can now operate my computer again. This song is re-arranged for our latest recording session in this winter. I wrote it with Japanese girls' rock band style. I would like to introduce you two versions with the same score, which are the RealTrack version and the live band version. Any comments encouraged. Always welcome. Best regards. Shigeki Adachi Title: ガールでGo! (Translation: Let’s go, Girls!) That's heaps of fun and would grace any of the last 1/2 doz excellent girl character based Anime or Hentai. Both are fun but I like the live version a little more. I don't know if you treated the vocals differently or it's a result of mastering but the vocal in the RealTracks version is a little harsher than the live. I love the flowing, complex vocal melody. The Japanese pronunciation of the Go Go baby refrain is also VERY cute. SUPERB fun. I reckon you ought to do a Baby metal version - it has all the elements.

I like the sound of the Live Band Version better... The vocal & guitar seem to fit better in the mix... I enjoyed listening to both of them. PS... Watch out for those curbs

What a fun and lively tune! Very engaging, and extremely catchy. I loved both version equally actually, personally. I do agree the vocals sit a little nicer in the live version. Regardless though, a solid write and well executed tune! Thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

Hi Shigeki,
It's good that you are back. Sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm happy that your hand is "working" again.
I think the live band version sounds the best, simply because the mix down is much better. So I am not trying to "talk the RealTracks version down" - it is a nice track to, but just not as well mixed as the live version. The vocals especially are "placed" better in the live version mix.
Just my opinion.
Thanks for sharing. Will

Shigeki Adachi,
Very catchy, very "Pop"...
TAKAKO does a fine job with the vocals.
Between the two versions, I prefer the RealTracks version. The bass and drums combination is balanced and has both clarity and punch. The guitars are nice and crisp (though I thought they could be a bit louder). The vocal could "sit back" a little - which I think is what other folks are referring to when they like the live version (though I found the live version vocals i bit too low in that mix). Somewhere in the middle of the two.
I hope you are healing well. Good to see you back.

We enjoyed both versions. We agree that the vocals have more clarity on the live version.
But both of them are fun listens!

PS Glad you have recovered well from the accident.

Welcome back for the new year! Very nice pop song, has very nice 60's retro feel, although the sound is more modern, kind of Motown girl Group + J-Pop combination. I like both versions, but I prefer slightly the RT version, because it is bit crisper.

Wow, quite a departure for you Shigeki!! Very nicely put together. Reminds me of the 60's/70's era music that I love so much. Enjoyed it!! Take care. Greg

So glad you're okay and back to making music. I liked the live version the best. Fun track, the lead singer has such a pretty voice and the song is so playful it sounds great.

Animaro . . .
Yeah, this has a nice hook right out of the gates, and I agree with those above that it’s just one of those songs that work better live . . . sometime the energy of live just can’t be captured. Great melody and beat/rhythm to this one. A total head-rocker and foot-tapper. Good stuff!
Kind regards,
Deej

Hi Shigeki Adachi, I'm pleased to read that you're making music again. I was wondering where you were. The forum is just not the same without you This is fantastic. You mention that TAKAKO is a jazz vocalist! Wow! She does a great job. I liked both versions of the song. You've created a fine work... it's catchy, it's very, very well arranged and it gleams with all your usual musicianship. All the best, Noel

rayc,
Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment. And thanks a lot for listening to the both version. I am really glad you like this tune. These girls' rock groups are very popular in Japan and I also want to make songs like those sometimes by being influenced by them.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi
