Hi Callie, i bought the AP last December 2nd .... with the 49-PAK. Did one had to pay for it separately back then? F
Still it is not a good look for those that actually showed faith in PG. Why would you bother? I have changed service suppliers for the same attitude. Loyalty should be a two way street.

Considering misleading sale videos with those realtracks as mentioned suppose to be included in the realtrack sets (but were only available as 49pak tracks). It was left to be for sale for extra pocketmoney and now there is an unwinding. I'm curious about previous purchases/refunds.
I think the timing of the free inclusion might be related to after the Sale special pricing finished.
That's how I read it too, Trev.
If I recall correctly, no-one has been disadvantaged. The special deals for the Ultrapak, Ultrapluspak and Audiophile versions in December were much cheaper than the current full prices (even allowing $49 for the 49BonusPak which is now included free with those three purchases).

REally, I have been disadvantaged: bought the PLUS pak upgrade from 2018 BIAB, at $$ 30 less than the "regular" offering, but paid full amount $$ 49 for the 49-PAK: now the PLUS pak sells for $$ 30 more, but with the FREE 49-PAK that is worth $$ 49. So really I wasted $$ 19 on my own. Not so pleasant, really!
Next time I'll wait for the sales-period to finish, granted!
The next time I will make sure to read the post better!
Only now I realize that the 49-PAK is free only for larger packages, while those who buy the plus-PAK like me to upgrade from version 2018, still need to pay $$ 49 for it.

OOPS I made a mistake here!! I purchased the PlusPAK Upgrade and now that I check and recheck one still has to pay $49 for the 49-PAK so all is fair.

Ah, so if I'm reading this correctly, by being one of the early upgraders, I've actually missed out on stuff that later upgraders received, specifically the 49 Pak?
I looked at My Products just now and it shows that I got a 2019 0Pak, which was a much scaled down version of the 49 Pak, and which is missing some styles that I want that the 49 Pak has.
I'm a bit miffed by all this marketing nonsense. In 2017, I bought an "Everything Pak," which, as it turns out, didn't really include everything. I mean, say what? When did the definition of "everything" change? And now I find that the Ultra Pak I'm paying for (yeah, I went with the 90-day option) doesn't include everything that it seems like it should -- just because I took advantage of a sale. No, I'm not entirely happy about this, especially since v2019 doesn't perform nearly as well on my machine as 2017 did (I skipped 2018).

The terminology that is used to describe the packs has always been associated with some confusion. Two years ago this was raised with the company and they changed some naming conventions, but this still really didn't clarify. The basic entry-level pack is named as the 'Pro Pak' which I still find misleading.
My understanding is that the 49-Pak was not included with the discounted special pricing, but was included after the discount ended. Also it is only included now if you purchased the Ultra Pak or higher. Do you have the Ultra Pak or above?

I guess I don’t understand why there would be any fuss. PG Music offered well-publicized sale prices for a month, then extended them until January 15. Although prices then went back to normal, they now include for free what was a $49 upgrade. It’s as if the sale prices continued.
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
Buying BIAB is a bit of ordering a new van in the Netherlands ... you have to decide a few months ahead what parts should be fitted, like one or two slide doors, electrified mirrors or not, windows in the side panels, how many seats ..... Fun part is you'll always forger something important. A sale going on for ever is only for the shopping malls alas. F
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
