I always loved the look of basses! I saw someone playing one once outside in Centennial Square a couple months ago. I imagine it didn't like the cold weather much.

No they don't like cold or hot/humid weather! I've had one nearly destroyed by too much parking lot picking in the humid Georgia weather.
A custom, built to my specifications, 12-string acoustic with a Gibson looking headstock. Built in 1972 in a Taiwan family owned and run guitar factory. The guitar and hard shell case cost $88 US. I also had an electric bass (Fender Jazz copy) and a six string acoustic (Martin D-28 copy). I sold the six string and electric bass but still have the 12 string.
$88 and if made right I bet it sounds like a million after these years!
The one on the left is a 1974 Hardtail Strat. I am the original owner and it is the first good guitar I ever owned. I played many, many gigs with this guitar. It's actually considered a vintage instrument at this point. I use it on some songs, sounds quite a bit different than my other guitars.
In the middle is a 2004 50th anniversary Strat deluxe. I also turned 50 in 2004, and my wife bought it for me for my birthday, total surprise. Very versatile guitar, it has the S1 switching system that doubles the amount of tonal possibilities, and this is the strat used on most of my songs.
On the right is a strat I built myself a year ago mostly using parts I got from Warmoth. It is also a hardtail (no vibrato bridge) and has high output lace sensor pickups. I use it on the blues/rock songs we do.
Nice stable there. Ain't it weird to be the original owner of anything now considered antique, vintage or collectible!

Maybe I'll post a shot of it and Janice's other old Martin...I bought a Martin employee made D-35 around 1970. They were allowed at the time to make one guitar a year for themselves. I'm sure it's now collectible!
Willie Nelson / Lady Nelson Ventura 500. Classical. 70s', Japanese made. Supposedly was some business venture of musician Willie Nelson. Not sure. Parlor style. Sounds pretty big and tone is very nice for a small size guitar.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
