It Ain't Love My professional duties over the past few weeks have not allowed me that much time for my songwriting hobby or for listening to a lot of the songs on the forum. I did manage this track. We sang a hymn in church in the key of Cm; I liked that key, and decided to write this song. (This song has nothing to do with the hymn, though.) For the mix, I used Reaper. I had been using Mixcraft, but it has been giving me all sorts of squeaks, pops, and squawks, and other unsolvable mystical audio skullduggery. I am just starting to get the hang of Reaper. Hi Ezekiel,
That's a powerful song you made! And though I don't know what hymn that was, you gave it a nice own turn (if that's how they call that). The vocals are very good.
Bye, Hans

Ezekiel, Very fun and catchy tune! Very strong arrangement of instrumentals and vocals. Clever lyrics! I especially liked and can relate to this: "I need obstruction to keep my heart from calling" and "I need the colors I’m hearing in my head"
Thank you for sharing!

Howdy!
Wow, Ez, this is strong and powerful! You really gave this one some drive and attitude - sure do like how you did that. Your vocal drives this one, in my opinion. The drums just add to it. Your voice is stellar! Super song and sing. What a musical treat! best to you ...

Great vocals, love the double tracked harmony parts... Really lifts the song in those parts... Great!

Bye, Hans Thanks, Hans. I don't remember the hymn title, but I thought it was a good key for my range.

Scott,
A very cool song (a bit cryptic at times?).
Excellent arrangement/production. Bass & drums -- super. Guitars are excellent. Organ, too... Nice use of stops...
Good vocal. Love the harmonies - are those sung or "created" (if so, how?). (The harmonies are a tad "crisp" in my speakers).
Cool. Very catchy.

Anthemic! Kenny, who is a fine rocker, really describes our feelings well. Nice lines and a fine power vocal along with a very effective use of RT/RD's. The mix sets up a strong soundstage...nearly took my monitors off the shelf! Enjoyed the listens, J&B

Well done Ezekiel's Storm, this was wonderful! Fantastic selection of instruments here and very soothing to hear. Good use of EFX on the guitar. The vocals harmonize well with the other instruments. Well done!
