The 1st syllable of your vocal has a plosive D that triggers the effects you've used on the voice in an unpleasant way.
The intro whip or laser sound is similarly aggressive and distracting.
Those two things distract from a good song and a properly retro 80's synth pop vibe.

Very majestic "remember" at the intro to verse. Jim is right. I can see this as a stage production. Love the synths.

Great work on this Will, wowzers! What an interesting tune. Love the overall progression to this and those synth strings are very relaxing to listen to. Very captivating lyrics with great harmonies. Well done!
