A new track from me. Done with_HOMESIK.STY (Homesick Soft Pop Serenade), plus the 1835:Guitar, Electric, Soloist PopModernGrooveGritty Ev16 075 solo track. Voice recorded and mixed with the BIAB track in Audacity. See what you think? Thanks in advance for all feedback!!! :-) Heroes (on Bandcamp) LYRICS And the heroes stand up. And they never give up Their faith in a better life And the heroes defy Expectations, and try For a world of peace, not strife. And we owe it to them To avoid, once again, The path that leads to pain When they all, young and old, Want a wonderful world Where there's sunshine, where there's rain. CHORUS They stand up today As they do, always, Every time and place, Smiles on their face. They stand up, like this, They believe in peace; They believe, do you? That to love is true. [BRIDGE: GUITAR SOLO] SPOKEN: And we owe it to them To avoid, once again, The path that leads to pain When they all, young and old, Want a wonderful world Where there's sunshine, where there's rain.

Hi James ...
I've always liked this style - have used it a couple of times. Great message and your semi-staccato vocal; delivery is always a fascinating listen for me. Very nice! The guitar lead was spot on. Also, I particularly like where you unexpectedly inserted the diminished chords. Well done!
Alan

Another nice one, James... I love hearing your accent... It makes your song seem different yet so much more pleasant sounding... I enjoyed listening to your song.

I hadn't heard this style before, but I like it. It works well with the lyrics and your vocal delivery. I like your lyrics on this, especially the last three lines.

Nice work on this, James It flows really well and I love the uplifting nature of the tune. Some really memorable moments, and that solo fit in perfectly. Makes for a great easy listening experience. You should be proud of this one - thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

James, Interesting arrangement and progression! I like semi-spoken vocals, but I think it might benefit a little reverb. Seems like your backing is airy, but vocals a bit dry. Just my 3 cents Thank you for posting! Misha.

Thanks Kenny and Misha. I'm useless with the production stuff like reverb, etc. etc. etc. ... so it's good to have some pointers!

I really like what you did with this song. I actually had it on in the background while I was working on other things. Very easy to listen to, which I like. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Ember

Thank you so much. My voice is a real worry for me, as I don't feel I have enough vocal skill to actually sing a song - so it's good to know that I haven't ruined the song completely by singing it myself :-) Many thanks!!!

Hi James,
I love this style that you've used. It's a terrific backing and suits your song and vocals like a hand in a glove. You've done a great job. It's two thumbs up from me!
All the best, Noel

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
