Hi Folks. Must be a change of season, had this urge writing a blues tune Dave aka BlueAttitude graciously agreed to bring some true blues spirit into my tune by playing solo guitar parts and all the wonderful accents. Not sure of the mix quality, most likely it will need more time. If you have suggestion(s) on mix, please, do not be shy. Thank you for listening! Insomniac Soul
I had some RT's prepped for this tune, but realized it will sound too busy, so just left PG Drums: BluesMondays. Initial arrangement is done in vArranger, all midi Synths of Halion Sonic. Wonderful Cakewalk as DAW. Lyrics: Sweet talk of a broker, praising financial goals Happy ambient vibe of casinos and shopping malls But angel in silk tuxedo emitting Versace scent keep whispering in my ear that world is coming to an end But insomniac soul shivers from phantom pain Locked in a golden cage, shackled with silver chains. I walk the slums of China and ghettos of New York I met monks with face of Buddha and folks who gone berserk Their hearts infused with fire, their minds are cold as ice. Beneath the mask they hiding sadness and tears of their eyes The universe is cycling, its spinning like yo-yo Expanding and contracting and howling like coyote It might take thousand years, it might take two or three, until we come to our senses - being fully free But insomniac soul shivers from phantom pain Locked in a golden cage, shackled with silver chains.

Misha,
As always, a truly intriguing lyric, rich in imagery, very original.
The mix is really good. The instruments all stand out - drums, bass, piano (very nice tone) and Dave's guitar... the vocal is a bit "heavy" in the low-mid range (though only slightly) - like a proximity effect of the microphone?
Needless to say, Dave's guitar is excellent.
Very enjoyable listen.

Really nice work on this! Love the groove, and your vocals fit with it perfectly. It is perfectly catchy without being overbearing - and one thing about your music I always notice, is the lyrics are always unique and engaging. Great job and thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

Rob, Thank you for listening and your feedback! -------------- FJ, Thank you for nice feedback and suggestion of mid-range on vocals. Proximity effect is mic related, this particular one is extra "close" . I also believe soundcloud had chiseled it a bit. ------ Deryk, Thank you for listening and kind say on this tune and lyrics. I think the trick with most tunes, is to stop at the right moment, so they do not become to "hairy" ----- Kenny, Big thanks on picking this up. This was actually a fruit of NPR radio cast I tuned to recently about time and space. I am always fascinated listening to scientists talk about something mind boggling in style of casual conversation Dave's guitar was the special sauce. Not a note I left out. Everything was better than what I hoped for. ------- Jim, Thank you for kind words! A very amateur poet, but not giving up ------- Ember, Thank you for listening and warm feedback! Misha.

Superb!
The imagery just BEGS for a video...
Like Kenny said one could quote ALL the lyric.
The fine vocals and arrangement offered a wonderful opportunity for Dave's sublime guitarperformance.
Well done you two!!!!

Chris, Thank you for listening and your input! ----- Ray, Thank you for encouraging words! I know there must be whole bunch of grammar and structural things that came out awkward An interesting observation, Since I joined the forum and worked on several tunes, including a few that we did together, I feel that my language skills improved by few percentage points Thank you! ----- J&B, Thank you for your support! Dave's part was the perfect puzzle piece for this tune. I wish I had more time to do videos... I made a vow to myself, if I ever win the lottery, I will open a local arts center / workshop and do all the crazy things I always wanted to do Misha.
