Trash Bag Windows
© 2019 Kenny Leverett

When your Momma found out that you were pregnant
She got a little mad
Took a shotgun to my truck
Messed it up pretty bad

Trash bag windows in the winter
Chill me to the bone
You won’t be alone
I’m not leaving you alone

We were broken up girl
Now before you knew
How come no one thinks
That I’ll step up
And stand by you

Trash bag windows in the winter
Chill me to the bone
You won’t be alone
I’m not leaving you alone

Now everything happens so fast
Like my reputation for being low classed

Trash bag windows in the winter
Chill me to the bone
You won’t be alone
I ain’t leaving you alone

Your Momma’s thinking shotgun wedding
Couldn’t happen too soon
We should run away to Vegas
And have a honeymoon

Trash bag windows in the winter
Chill me to the bone
You won’t be alone
I ain’t leaving you alone

Kenny,

The awesome just keeps coming!...

A superb write. What a great title! Solid lyric start to finish. Good Rock melody.

Incredible vocal.

Good band and a good mix. Clever weaving of the solo and slide...

You are on a roll that I hope continues for a LONG time!

Great groove, great lyrics, cool band, and that awesome signature vocal sound. In other words a typical Kenny song!

I really like the way you handled the slide and the regular lead guitar in this, very effective the way they are playing off each other.

Terrific!!

Kenny,

You need to get signed to a major record label... Incredible!

Tremendous song and arrangement - wicked / savage vocal...

What a great rock song. I'm putting this one on repeat.

Bob

Really nice work on this - love the energy and attitude in this one! I'm getting a late 70's/early 80's vibe on this one. Some excellent progressions on this and the grit on your voice fits perfectly. And those solo are superb.

Thanks for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

Kenny,
It is not easy to make a good rock song. You done a good job on it! A little "Chill me to the bone" feel, but that is how music supposed to be smile Interesting write, both musically and lyrically.

Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Powerful stuff! Nice to hear some edgy rock song on this forum, Paul McCartney comes to my mind first and there is some helter skelter in your voice also. You have mixed that great arrangement really well.

Kenny, I've listened to quite a few of your tunes and many are really good.....but to me this is your best so far!! It has very interesting lyrics, a great funky/rock sound, a great vocal and a beautiful mix!! It's the complete package! The dueling slide parts are a real plus in this, they really help raise this to a higher level! A great listen!! thanks, Torrey

As soon as I saw this title on the forum list I had to listen! The image from the title was instantly recognizable. The opening line should be destined to be a classic opener. Good rocker.

This is one of the best Titles I've ever heard. It draws you in so strongly that you have to listen. Great mix. A super concept for a great write. A bad@ss vocal that is so raw and rough around the edges that it makes Rod Stewart look like Tony Bennett. Everything is very well done on this rockin ride. Loved it, Tom

Kenny ...

Tom hit this right on the head. Have to agree with every single word he said. Love the two guitars on the lead riffs - a bit of shredding & drive on the left with a simple but perfect lead line on the right - great idea and delivery!

Just one question my friend ... How can a song this cool be so hot?

Alan

Awesome tune Kenny. Super vocal. Loved the driving guitars. Slide was very cool. Guitar solo was so cool playing off the slide. Well done..

Yeah man, we've seen those black plastic bag/duct tape windows!

Bud said "he's hittin' the note," and Janice followed up with "he's cookin' I see him on stage with a fine band!" And Bud said "I'd pay to hear that!" And Janice said, "I can't keep my feet still!"

How the heck do you pick something like that and write such a cool song around it? Did you see one and it popped into the head? Or did it just pop into the head? smile

Super vocal, write, RT/RD choice and arrangement. And a rock mix that's as good as it gets. I wanna be able to do that when I grow up.

On top of everything it just flat DRIVES!!!

High bar stuff buddy...

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
