Hi all. I came across this great style and had to write something for it. The lyrics are a sort of throw back to the fifties and sixties. Had lots of fun doing this tune. All comments welcome. Rob

Oh the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in.
I left my love in country side cant make up my mind. Though I love her so to leave or stay could not decide Would she be mind for ever more I ask the stars above
I wanna hold her I wanna kiss her I want her love.
Oh Please help me out help me solve the dilemma I'm in. Then I'll be much more happier than I been.
So Please help me out help me solve the dilemma I'm in. Then I'll be much more happier than I been.
Oh the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in.
Bridge
Please help me out help me solve the dilemma I'm in. Then I'll be much more happier than I been.
She called me up say she had another Beau. And back to the country side I should not go. She wished me all the best and sent a hug.
I wanna hold her I wanna kiss her I want her love.
Please help me out help me solve the dilemma I'm in. Then I'll be much more happier than I been.
So Please help me out help me solve the dilemma I'm in.
Then I'll be much more happier than I been. Oh the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in, the dilemma I'm in. x2

The sense of longing in this song definitely came across, and I think the song itself is lovely. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent tune Rob. Love your vocals. Reminds me of the songs where country and rock and roll were very close to each other. Very cool..

Great song... The lyrics, melody, backing, & vocals... Take me back to days when Don Gibson's song were sung by Roy Orbison... Great footsteps you are walking in... Thanks for sharing & keep up the good work!

Misha. Hello Misha. You may have noticed that I also love the music from 50s and 60s. Life was a lot more simple back then and music was fun. Thanks for listening. Rob

Hey there Rob, I admired the overall vibe on this. This is beautiful and I really dug the chord progression. Great effects on the vocals. Keep it up!

Rob, this track has a super sound to it! Everything sounds pro all the way! Your vocal is great (once again) and you really channeled some of the beautiful nuances of the vocals of Elvis in this! Enjoyed it!! Thanks, Torrey

Rob,
A retro sound from beginning to end. Very catchy - an ear worm... like a hit from the era...
A very cohesive mix - smooth and quite tight.
Well done.

It reminds me, as the others have said, of Roy Orbison, especially the intro. I love the Big O. Very catchy tune.

Hello Rib
Oh yeah ... liking this a big ole bunch! You have a touch of Marty Robbins in your voice. This might be a bit far-fetched but I could hear Bobby Darin doing this back in the day. Great song and terrific delivery. Loved it!

I'm seeing a possible trend here, country musicians returning to the roots of the genre. We have seen a backlash against moral corruption in Hollywood. Hollywood's response is has been to scapegoat a couple of personalities and double down. As far as country music goes, over the years we have seen the younger generations turn away from what they call, with disdain, Modern Country. George Strait built a career as a honky tonk musician. Look at his new album: he looks at the dark side of the honky tonks, pays tribute to those who wear the badge, and reaffirms basic American values. Ya think?

Thanks for the journey back Rob. The good old days were certainly not good old days for everybody for many reasons...but for us, from a musical perspective, they are good indeed. Particularly this period.
During those days "pop" radio played about every genre imaginable and exposed folks to a lot of music they would never hear in today's genre based playlists, etc. This song would've fit perfectly on about any station back then.
The write, vocal and the entire production harken back to all that was good in music then.
Well done!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
