Well....
We've all probably felt we had something from our personal archives that we thought a BIAB resurrection could be a worthy effort.
This one is called "Rose".
Written in August 1974 (Holocene Epoch).
It did need a lyrical massage to improve on continuity/imagery.
I'm waaaay out of my comfort zone here and I don't croon well at all.
(that damn Torrey dude sets the bar pretty high :))
SPECIFICALLY: I'm curious about how the mix translates to other systems because I only have my near fields to mix on....EQ thoughts?....lead vocal volume?

Lyrics:Verse 1 am dm7 am
I was travelin’ somewhere near LA
Passing through I had no place to stay
em7 dm7 am
Bitter cold, it’s time I find a bed
em7 dm7 am
Road to nowhere, demons in my head
Verse 2Then I saw you, by chance or destiny
I’m hypnotized, it feels like sorcery
To my surprise, you said “just call me Rose”
“I’m pleased to meet you, can I walk you home”.
Chorus em7 dm7
There’s sadness in your eyes. (you try to fight it, you just can’t hide)
em7 dm7
You know, it’s not so hard to tell. (you keep runnin’, you can’t stop)
em7 F C Bb am
You can run so long from place to place but you can’t hide from yourself.
Verse 3Those summer times, the sun shined on your face.
The midnight fires and never ending days.
Love runs wild, a flame that burns so bright
As winds of change begin to show their signs.
Lead break – chorus music only
Verse 4The Rose is restless At daylight she’ll be gone
and leave no traces or number I can call.
‘I’ll catch you later’…we all know how that goes.
With mixed emotions…I said good bye to Rose.
ChorusVamp to end: (you keep runnin’, you can’t stop)
To any that give it a listen...a sincere thanks in advance.
