I have recorded some vocals using 2 mics and both sides of the track recorded, but on playback I only hear the left side. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using Real Band. Using 2 SM58 mics. Listening to playback with headphones.

John, pardon if it seems like a ridiculous question... Did you check your setup outside RealBand on mp3 or youtube? Both channels are ok for playback?
The reason I mentioned this... I almost destroyed headphone jack a few days ago. So when stuff like your happens, that I do not understand, I usually follow this protocol.
1) Close out of all programs, listen to plain mp3 on windows media player. If unhappy stuff is still happening, I would try to restart PC. Usually that solves step #1
2)If step #1 was successful, I would open "troubled" software and look closely at mixer balance?... If mixer does not solve it try external interface (UMC204HD, I assume) proprietary software driver setting, if there is an issue with L / R channels?

Boy do I feel stupid. I tried playing a BB file thru the audio interface and got the same result. Turns out, my headphone jack is stereo, but the 1/4 adapter I plugged into the interface was only mono. The only reason I'm copping to this right now is because some other noob will probably have the same problem somewhere down the line and I'd like to save him some headaches.
(Sigh)

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
