So sorry to hear about Di's health. That can't be easy.

As always your songs are wonderful, and having a name like you do for the title of the song certainly grabbed my attention! Glad you made a nod to it in your opening post.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Ember

Cool country tune Alan. Loved the title. Was thinking Pat Benatar when I read the title. Super vocal and loved your guitar. Super backtrack

Sounds good to me, Alan!

You are a gifted lyricist, very clever and engaging lines.

Mix sounds good too, and I like the arrangement. Also I think your vocal fits the material well.

Overall a good listen!

Love the lyrics, such a great idea and country spin on Pat Benataur. The melody was upbeat and danceable. Your vocals were just fine. I always say "don't compare your vocals to someone like George Jones" no one can probably top that, but we all have the voice God gave us and it's unique and we need to appreciate it. Good song.

Love that chorus...strong stuff you have going there! Really fine write.

The bands sounds like a well honed and talented bar band that's been at it for a while. Very cohesive.

Don't sell yourself short...the vocal worked well for us! And the level sits fine in the mix.

Yep...we like!!

Best to Di and you.

Hi Alan,

These lyrics are such a clever creation. I wish I had your imagination! I'd love to be able to come up with something half as clever as this. Your writing skills are powerfully on display here.

Also, I LOVE these vocals. The backing is a perfect match for highlighting your vocals.

From start to finish, I was with you every beat.

My best wishes to you and Di,
Noel

Hi Alan,

Two things:
1-I pray that Di gets better soon
2-You don't need another singer, you did just fine.

I really liked this toe tapper. Your backing is is spot on, your vocals are perfect and your lyrics are fantastic. Put this all together and you have a very good song.

Excellent work!

PS - have you seen me at closing time? It sure sounded like you did grin

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Hey Everyone ...

Thanks so much for the really kind and encouraging comments. Will get back to everyone over the next day or two ... we're being overrun by home healthcare folks at the moment.

Alan,

Great country drinking song!
Very clever.
Very good proportion of vocals and guitars.
Jim, Jack or Johnny Red.
I drink every whiskey every day.
I like the half with soda.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

I came here expecting Pat Benatar, hehe

Al, this sounds like a sh#t kicking classic, that's what they used to say in the 90s.

All kidding aside this is a very good write and well mixed and well sang.

You always pick your instruments very well, really like that Brent 1515 soloist

don't give that call stuff, get out the good stuff and hit me with your best shot

enjoyed the listen,

Kenny

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
