Hey, it's wonderful to hear another production from you.

The FIRST thing that always strikes us is how much heart and soul your vocals have. They always sound so genuine. That will draw us into a song quicker than anything else. And this tune is certainly no exception.

In addition to the vocals and fine write the arrangement and choice of RT's along with your keyboards carry the song so well. I think Torrey mentioned the verse to verse chords...nice touch.

And, as always, the mix shines. Nothing to add and nothing to take away.

Superb!

Hi Steve,

Wow! this is good. Whether it's a remix or a brand new composition, I always love hearing your work.

Everything you do is first class. Your flair for exceptional arranging never fails to leave me feeling musically satisfied and very impressed. As I've said a number of times now, your forum submissions are something that I return to time and again when I'm trying to get ideas for my own productions.

It's so good to see you on here with a new one!

All the best,
Noel

Hi Steve,

First and foremost I am glad that your health has improved, plus it sounds like that month off did you very well.

This is what should be on country radio today. Everything about this is top shelf; your backing tracks are perfect and your vocal is really strong! Plus those lyrics are top shelf!

This is a great song.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Steve,

Nice country song!
(Though you say it not be a country song.)
I agree with floyd.
Good to see you back.
A very nice write. Your vocals are always so nicely done - and work well for this type song. Comfortable and convincing. The harmonies are super.
The sound of the first shot is very good.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Great storytelling song writing

Steve, you have a super voice

I'm sure that you've heard that before

Now I hang my hat
In the hills, just North of San Antone
'Cause I've got Texas in my bones

know it well, I've got it too

enjoyed the listen,

Kenny

Beautiful production and song. Not only is the vocal good, but also of equal importance is the phenomenal vocal delivery.

Steve,

Crisp inviting sound and melody, and focused, specific lyrics . . . all of which make for a good song, that sung well (as this is), makes for an easy listen. Well done!

My best to you,

Deej

Very nice work. It reminds me of John Denver a bit.

Can't name a song that... lessen it's country? Well you certainly did. And it's definitely a country tune.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
