I have a blues song with 12 choruses. I want Choruses 1,2,11 and 12 to use the "A" substyle for bass and drums. I want the rest of the choruses to use the "B" substyle for bass and drums. How do I accomplish this?

How many measures are in each chorus?

VideoTrack asked his question because the maximum numbers of bars the program allows is 255. If each of your 12 choruses have more than 22 bars then you will exceed the maximum number of bars.

Jim, exactly!
I was going to suggest unfolding or a similar idea. Perhaps one long intro, several repeats and a long outro.
The 255 bar limit was always going to be an issue.

The song actually has 13 choruses plus an intro and a tag ending. The intro has 4 bars which are drums only. Each of the 13 choruses is a 12 bar jazz blues. The tag ending is 4 bars. So if I did the math right that is 164 bars. I want the first two and last two choruses to play "A" section sub style and all the other choruses (3-11) to play "B" section sub style for the jazz song style I am using. I was hoping there was a setting somewhere that allows me to choose the substyle by chorus.

I would enter the chords for the first time through in bars 1-12, then copy them for the second time through in bars 13-24. Then copy them again in bars 25-36, again in bars 37-48 and in bars 49-60.
I would then "frame" my song to start at bar 25 and end at bar 36 and to repeat eight times. Then in bar 36, set a tag ending to skip to bar 37 to play out to the end of the song (through bar 60, plus however many bars for your ending). Set the "A" part marker at bar 1, bar 13, bar 37, and bar 49. Set the "B" part marker at bar 25.
That was bars 1-12 are for verse 1, bars 13-24 are for verse 2, bars 25-36 will repeat eight times for verses 3-10, bars 37-48 are for verse 11, and 49-60 are for verse 12.
Then go into song settings and uncheck the box to "vary style in middle choruses".
Also, if you only want to hear bass and drums (and not the other instruments in the style), then you can either mute the other tracks (but you'll have to set that every time you load BIAB), or you can enter your chords to "rest all instruments except bass and drums". You do that by entering a dot after the chord name followed by the instruments you don't want to rest (bass and drums).
So, for example, you could enter "E.bd" in cell one to play only bass and drums. Then use the Edit, Copy Rests command to quickly do that for all the chords in the song.

Thanks John. I figured I would have to do something like what you suggested since I couldn't find any song settings that control the sub-style by chorus other than the default.
