"The Little Corner Studio" is such a great name for it! It's actually quite enchanting. The setup seems to be working for you and I think that's all that matters in the end. grin

Here is mine

Also I need to buy new microphone. I found reviews about best dynamic microphone 2019 here https://bluebuzzmusic.com/best-dynamic-microphone-vocals/ recently. Want to buy Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB.

I wasn't able to view the one from candys, my virus protection software, malwarebytes, blocked it due to a trojan?? Maybe a false positive?

Fun thread.
Here is my setup. I like to do basic sketches on the end of my dining table smile Laptop + portable touch screen which connects via single cable to laptop and gives me a luxury of having DAW on one screen and synths+FX or lyrics on the other...and a trusty Blue mic. When sketch is done I take my laptop and move to the basement "guest room" where I have my master mic and speakers set up. One of the issues that I solved for myself in the past couple of years is the wonderful cart table you see... It is a SIT/STAND table and lifts up very easy. So I can sit when I am mixing and then lift it up, so I can monitor and adjust things while singing...Because you can not sing seated.. well you can, but it is not preferred smile My son's digital piano, that sometimes I would borrow and couple of guitars.

Misha.

Awesome looking setup Misha! It's great to be able to visualize you working in that space! The pics being posted by everyone will probably help a few songwriter/composers make practical decisions how to go about putting their own studio together. Thanks for the post! T

I always had that interior problems until I merged 2 rooms in one so now I can think about total renovation and integration of my music system. In that way, the only thing I've been thinking during my renovation process - is how to sharpen my powerful maul and of course I found some tips (like these: https://cozyhousetoday.com/how-to-sharpen-splitting-maul/), to make the process of renovation quick and easy.

Those are some excellent rooms. Mine is smallish & I can't get a decent shot of it. Here is a composite of eye level with the middle shelves being the baffle behind the listening position (about 2.5m back from the mixing desk...

Well, that was/is entirely hopeless. I'll try a four corner approach...
I've covered all external light as the room and camera don't cope with natural sunlight for happy snap.
It's a little crowded - the book shelves created baffles to break up/disrupt standing waves and the CDs, usually are staggered part in and out to do tha same. This generally works though I'm still experimenting regarding bass build up (rolled memory foam in one direction and a rolled carpet in another).

Crizz88,
Nice studio. I like that Octapad!

Ray,
Do your neighbors like you....with all those amps....? smile
Lots of cool stuff! Do you play that upright or it's someone's else?

We're more of a retro 'garage band' setup lately (including obligatory lava lamp) .. but we're still laying tracks!
(trying out a new guitarist below)

Misha,
I make sure I don't use the Marshall until I've rehearsed enough to minimize the time needed. It gets loud enough for me to wear protective ear gear BUT I make sure that's when the nearest neighbour isn't home or I give them warning.
It's not an upright bass - it's my cello!
I play it in fits and starts but should get back to regular use - I stopped due to a frozen shoulder a few years back and haven't spent much time with it since - I have it out of its case to shame me in to getting my act together.

Cheers

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
