Hi all, For this french samba, my friend Patrick Fournerat is singing. https://soundcloud.com/christian-devienne/ou-est-passe-mon-vague-a-lameHere's an approximate translation : Where has my melancholy gone ? It's not there anymore ! Did it burn in the flames of this samba? As if by magic, my heart is lightening and weighs only one milligram like a little snowflake. I’ve lost my melancholy! For Brazil, I leave Paris and I drift to this samba as to a woman who captivates me. And the ocean that separates us will not have enough waves to oppose my departure. I leave my melancholy on the dock! RD BossaLewis^04 RT 717 Acoustic Bass RT 3238 Acoustic Guitar RT 704 Flute RT 2142 Baritone Sax RT 473 Solo Acoustic Bass

Patrick sounds fantastic as does the backing though the difference in the spaces occupied by the sax and bass solos was a little puzzling - the sax was faded and receding while the bass was up front and aggressive. I'd suggest using the same volume/level and reverb on each of those. nevertheless it's a great sounding track. Well done Christian & Patrick.

Hi Ray, I understand what you say but, unfortunately, I've not kept the bass solo track without reverb. Then, I've tried to decrease the egalisation when it's about 80 Hz… and here's the result ! Christian

Another great collaboration... Even though I do not speak French I enjoy your work... Its like jazz with the vocal being a featured instrument.

Thanks Janice and Bud, I like to collaborate with Patrick. I think he has a great voice to sing brazilian songs (even with french lyrics). I'm composing a bolero for him ! Christian

Christian, Another, very good Bossa/Samba tune with French flavor. Patrick is a very good singer, this collaboration worked out very well. Production is excellent! Congrats to both of you!

Beautiful. Love the lyric (translated). Can see the smile in the vocal. The band is spot-on and carries well before taking over and handing back. Very much enjoyed.

What a tune! The production is lush and really professional sounding, and your vocals are top notch. Love the groove too - got my foot tapping from the get go. The samba with the French tinge works way better than I would have anticipated, and I love the solos sprinkled in. Great work, thanks for sharing
Cheers, Deryk

Chris,
I enjoyed this one a lot—great sound to it—a little bit of gypsy jazz feel to me as well. Great vocal and I just love that bass solo—works really well in this. Terrific tune!
My best regards to you (and Patrick),
Deej
