All Sensitive and Stuff

A tongue-in-cheek title. This piece was picked up years ago as the "background music" for a you-tube video promoting a suburban California health spa. Last time I looked, I found that video (and thus the piece) had probably more viewers/listeners than ALL my other song combined. Who'da thunk it?

BIAB midi style run through hard synth with just a little love shown to the flute melody (a few changed notes/durations and a few "grace notes" added for more realism).

I likely bent a lot of "theory" with this piece, though I didn't know that's what I was doing at the time. I just typed in chords that sounded good to me following one another until I cam full-circle.

This is and was always intended to be an "instrumental". Given that all I have left of this production is this mix, that will extend forever into the future. Indeed, I'm posting it for your hoped-for enjoyment, but also to stay involved while putting off recording vocals for another piece as long as possible. Tis a real pity when a "singer-songwriter" finds himself unable to sing.

Nice instrumental! I like the changes and arrangement.

Was the melody generated by BIAB?

Yes, it was, Dave...with just a wee bit of input/encouragement from me.

Tangmo,

Very sensitive. Not stuff-y at all. smile

An enjoyable listen. The chord changes were nice...kept it interesting throughout.

Good mix overall. I liked the bass sound a lot!

Very nicely done...
I enjoyed listening...
Do you wish to share the link to the YouTube video...
I think it would be interesting to see how they used your instrumental in their promotion.

Nicely done - flows well, and it nice and pretty, and easy on the ears. It definitely is giving me a video games feel. Almost like it'd fit in a 90's N64 or SNES game. Nicely cinematic and a solid composition.

Thanks for sharing smile

A real showcase on the showcase forum of the power of Biab when in the hands of a talented artist.

Easy to see how it got placed. It works very well in the vid.

We don't know enough (any) theory to know what you bent but the progressions work very nicely for us.

Thanks for the backstory.

Enjoyed it all!

Very nice, indeed! Well mixed and produced. Some nice progressions in it, and like Floyd said, the bass sound is really nice!
