JonD came up with the first chord line, i.e. CMaj7-Em7-Ebm7-G7b5-Cmaj7-G9sus. Since he has moved 20 miles away, he was my neighbor, we couldn't get together to finish this. So I added everything else. Hence the name! [Link no longer valid]
BiaB style = Billy - Country Rock I deleted the strings. The guitar track became vibes. Effect = PreSonus Pro EQ. Piano stayed piano. Effects = Pro EQ, Compression Drums effect - CLA drums
I am playing the guitar - my jazz box through Amplitube 4. Effects = Pro EQ, Compression, Delay
I am playing the fretless bass through Amplitube 4. Effect = JJP Bass
I am playing the flute via my wind controller. Effects = Pro EQ, Compression, Delay
The master effect was Pro EQ.
As always I am open for constructive criticism.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Mario,
That is a great sound... The progression has almost a 60s cocktail lounge sound to it that I love. Great use of the wind controller and as always, excellent guitar.
Add in the good mix and you have a very cool sound here.
Loved it!

Bob Hi Mario, I agree with Bob... a very cool sound and definitely with elements of that 60s cocktail crossover-jazz vibe. I'm really enjoying listening as I type. Regards, Noel

Mario,
Agree with Bob about the 60s cocktail lounge sound. Hypnotic easy listening. A real nice track and beautifully played.

Great job, O Bearded One! I always hear your songs as a backing track in a film. You do a good job at this kind of production. Nice blend of instruments. You're getting better all the time with the wind controller!
Like this one!

Mario this is a very cool song. As I listened I got a very familiar vibe but it slipped away. Very mysterious tune. Loved the chord progressions. Each instrument that jumped in was very well done. Just loved the bass lines. Well done

Mario, it's cool but the guitar seems a little under blanket. Could it be that the attack setting on the compression is taking away too much or is it EQd into subduedness? Nice excursion anyway.

Mario, First of all, cool unusual tune! I liked it. I agree with Ray, I think guitar is a little buried, but on the other hand it might be just where you wanted it.
P.S. It might be strange, but this reminded me music of Soviet cartoons from early 80s. Some cartoon studios hired off-beat musicians to do soundtracks. Looking back, it was probably the most unusual music that was aired in very tight controlled Soviet public media.
Thank you for sharing!
Misha.

Good one, Mario. You are in a class by yourself. Also, appreciate knowing the chord progression. That's something we often overlook on this forum, even though it is one of the more critical pieces of information with respect to any Band-in-a-Box composition.

Lots of cool stuff happening in here Mario! The bass playing is awesome and the guitar has a neat sound (almost sounds like the whole melody line is played in octaves, maybe it is! Just a great jazz vibe throughout! Thanks, Torrey

Hi Mario ...
Unique as only your creative mind could have devised! Love that 60s, cool, enchanting vibe. I always enjoy your music. Jon D. gave you a nice progression to play with and you did a great job in that musical playground. Cool song that I enjoyed very much!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
