Hi All,

This is called Albuquerque.

I walked to Albuquerque
In the first part of my dream
Following the path you left me
Following the path you left me

I left my home in Woodstock
In the second part of my dream
Following the path you left me
Following the path you left me

Woke up in Albuquerque in the rain
Running horses and falling manes

I walked to Albuquerque
It was midnight in my dream
Following the path you left me
Following the path you left me

I traced my steps this morning
In the third part of my dream
Following the path you left me
Following the path you left me

Woke up in Albuquerque in the rain
Running horses and falling manes

I walked to Albuquerque
In the first part of my dream
Following the path you left me
Following the path you left me

I walked to Albuquerque
In the first part of my dream

Bob,

A very dream-like write. Which makes sense - it's a dream song!

The baritone guitar suits the subject matter, too.

This could easily be in the background of any number of current shows on Netflix or Amazon. (OA would be a good one for it...)

Good mix (as always).

Poetic and non-specific, very evocative.

I liked the subtle build as you brought in the instruments.

Nicely done, as usual.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Bob

I recall Neil Young doing a song called Albuquerque. In fact I could hear him covering your version.
Nice relaxed mood and immediately familiar. Good choice of instruments and nicely performed.
Very enjoyable.

Bob,
I read the lyrics, listened to the tune and had very particular thought in mind to my response, but as soon as I scrolled to the first reply, FJ's post caught my eyes. He wrote exactly what I was feeling smile This was wayyy strange.

A very calming, dream like song indeed. Nicely put together and performed. Loved the tremolo guitar choice.

Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Love this ballad Bob! The vibrato guitar really gives this one a nice touch! The verse melody really works! Thanks, Torrey

Bob,

Your vocal carries the feeling. A dream that gets to you is powerful song inspiration!
I like the repetition in the lyrics and of course that tremolo guitar.
I also hear a little Neil Young in this... and also the kind of song Emmylou Harris chose for Wrecking Ball.

Another cool track Bob!! Very textural. Rolls along so nicely with that Brent baritone guitar feeding the rhythm as it goes. Nicely done!! Take care. Greg

Nice work on this smile Love the imagery in the vocals, your rustic delivery adds a lot of merit as well. I found it fit perfect with the instrumentation, and it was nicely catchy too.

Thanks for sharing!

Really cool vocal Bob. Sounds so different than you other tunes. Super lyric and background. Just loved the guitar with the tremolo. Very cool effect..

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
