Neil? Not so much...hearing Kenny! Cornbread? Cheese, jalapeños and some sorghum syrup to dip it in Great vocal and excellent use of that Brent solo...really works well...like it was played for the song. And the write? Well, we're southern born and southern bred -- for better or worse so we gotta love it! Cool bro.... J&B

SO SO GOOD!!! FInd myself singing along by the second chorus! So catchy, so melodic, SO much heart! Love the BGs in the choruses (I feel they could be a tiny bit louder). Lots of great images in the lyrics. EVERYTHING done RIGHT!!! Great stuff Kenny!! Take care. Greg

Hi Kenny ...
I'm married to one of them, although I'm one of those damned Yankees (St. Louis)! And you;re right about the cornbread. I like miner with a good amount of honey and way too many jalapenos. Than eat it with a lot of butter slathered all over it.
Loved the song! You never disappoint, my friend! Waiting to click onto one of your songs for the first time reminds me of when I was a little kid and someone handed me my first Christmas present - joyous anticipation. Keep writing & singing and I'll keep listening.
Alan

Great stuff, Kenny!
Love the opening with the B3.
Great opening lines to set the mood:
"Raised to respect But still just a little bit wild All grown up But to me she’s a woman child"
Man, I wish I had a small fraction of your writing skills.
And of course that signature vocal is the icing on the cake.
Very much enjoyed!

Kenny, I know Soundcloud is the nearly ubiquitous streamer for this forum but perhaps try a different streaming service or upload with a screensaver type visual to YouTube With Utub you'll have more control over the quality of the playback and therefore fewer issues as a result. Or "master" with a little less level so that SC doesn't do damage. OR, better still, upload an MP3 or .wav file for folks to download and enjoy as you hear & intended.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
