I like to set ONE chorus on LOOP (forever) and GO. No endings, no sections....quick load, and just blow.
But if i want to play ONE verse then a million chorus like in... "The Trolley Song"...I have to start the Verse at bar 1, the Loop point at bar 33, and instead of number of choruses being 1, I must change it to 20 ...and wait for a long load time.
Is there a BIAB genius here who can figure out a way to have 32 bars like a master intro ....then one chorus of a repeating single loop that doesn't return to the "intro verse bars" to avoid that long load time. .
Again...its 32 bars ONCE, then a repeating single loop (infinite) from bars 33 to whatever. Thanks
Set your loop setting like this 33-what ever the last measure number you have-20. So a 50 measure song would be set like this: 33-40-20. That means have a 32 bar intro then loop bars 33 through 40 20 times.
This works here.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware
Nice try Mario...but it doesn't work. It still has to generate 30 choruses of real tracks and loading them is just as time consuming. Since loading a single chorus is virtually immediate, the hope would be a way to have BIAB THINK of it as a single looped chorus beginning at bar 33 but with 32 "intro bars" on top that get played but never repeated.
Nice try, John. but the program doesn't allow it I've attached a copy of the dialog with the correct info. As you see "Ok Make Repeat" is greyed out....because i didn't check GENERATE NEW BARS. And if that box is checked, it STILLL is making 20 choruses of repeats and takes forever.
To reiterate again...the goal is for BIAB to generate a single looped chorus ad infinitum...and just treat the first 32 verse bars as an intro and NOT subject to the loop. I'm beginning to believe this easy idea simply does not exist in BIAB and is a wishlist item.
What version of BIAB are you using? Also what are you computer specs?
I just tried setting an 86-bar song of mine to 24 choruses and clicked on generate. Playback started in exactly 10 seconds. (I run a quad core I7, 3.4 GHz, 64-bit Windows 7.)
Is this the type of delay that you are experiencing?
The reason I ask the above is because, for some time now, BIAB first generates a few bars of the song and then starts playing. Realtrack generation is then completed in the background while the song is playing.
When I read your post, it sounded like you have background generation turned off. This process is called "Fast Generation". With BIAB 2019...
the global setting for it is under "Options | Realtracks | Speed up generation of Realtracks"
the local setting is under "Right-click on chord sheet | Song Settings | This song has playback problems, disable Fast Generation"
To get fast generation to work, the global setting needs to be enabled and the local setting needs to be disabled.
Noel- Sometimes an inadvertent push turns the key...and you just did that! My 116 bar tune took 57 seconds to load 20 choruses on my 2018 setup. So thinking it's time to actually put 2019 on my main PC (test PC has it), I went to the PG site to see if the upgrade might help. Lo and behold, the realtracks speed generation section revealed "Band-in-a-Box® 2010 and higher have an option to 'freeze' some or all of your tracks. This means that the next time you load your song and play it, it will generate and play almost instantly."
I never used track freezing for fast generation...since I'm mostly dealing with one single looped chorus....but Bingo...it worked like a champ....problem solved......you're the hero of the day. Thanks a million for taking the time to help out.

According to Buddha, you were more than a catalyst, Noel. I just followed your direction.....it logically led me to this PG page https://www.pgmusic.com/techfaq55.htm#172 .............and VOILA!
