Hi All

I will be hosting a free webinar on Wednesday 10th July.
Click here for the exact time in your part of the world

It is going to be specifically for people who are into home recording and have never heard of BIAB or have heard of it but don't know much about it or have researched it but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

If you know of anybody who would be keen to attend this webinar I would appreciate it if you could pass this link onto them.

Thanks to those who attended the webinar. It was my first one so a little nerve wracking but I managed to demo setting up a backing track from start to finish in 45 minutes.

The feedback I got was very positive. I was live streaming on YouTube and so had a slight technical “challenge” at the start where it was feeding the audio back onto itself. I managed to get that sorted after the first minute or so.

If you would like to view the recording please drop me an email on Joanne at Joannecooper dot co dot za (substitute the “at” and “dots” as appropriate)

Joanne:

Thoroughly enjoyed your Webinar, it was great!
And, as a bonus, one of the people that I passed on your link to,
informed me that he is now interested in BIAB, so you accomplished your purpose.

Thanks for doing that, I know it's stressful and a lot of work,
but you made it look easy and that's what people need.

You are an amazing lady, Jo!

I'd love to see how you normalized all of the tunes for the album. The original levels were all over the map.

Joanne, that was an excellent BiaB tutorial. You do these so well. This should be on the BiaB's front page.

PS - I even learned something. I didn't know about the lyric thing. That was a good tip!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thank you Mario! That thing with the lyrics has been the most popular (and unknown) feature...

Joanne, neat trick with the lyrics !! never knew that. That's a game changer for BIAB (for ME).

First: If only there was a way now to incorporate that into the Lead Sheet Printing.

Second: It could be great if it could be imported into the RB part markers or even just add Bar Lyrics to RB... even if I have to record in the Chord Window although I prefer to use the Tracks Window.

THAT is actually where I would personally like the lyrics to show .. In the tracks window as it would help not have paper rustling noises .. just read the lyrics in the screen!

(One can only dream)

But just for jamming .. This is going to be great!!!

What you do doesn't go unappreciated, Joanne smile I watched the first bit and can tell it's extremely informative. Can't imagine how many Band-in-a-Box users you've helped over the years.

+1 for all the positive reviews of the webinar
if you missed it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLDM0gDC-uY&feature=youtu.be

I took advantage her "extra help" option the $30 special offer which included the BIAB 101 PDF book which itself is an excellent introduction to band in the box and a 30 minute Skype call with Joanne herself

I sent Joanne an MP3 file of a guide track for a song I've been working on and she was most helpful in suggesting ways I could use BIAB and realband to bring the song to life
including, using the song i sent her, demonstrating techniques she was talking about while sharing her screen so i cold see first hand how it's done!

and that's not all ms cooper does check out

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
