This fragment of a song has been bugging me for weeks. It has a spanish guitar strum the chord pick twice then some part of a chorus "My Angelina, My Angelina' I think it a folk style from the 80's maybe. here's a link to soundclick I picked it out on Garageband piano. Hoping someone will recognize it https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v4/player.cfm?songID=13902724 I have searched the net but come up empty so I most likely have the name Angelina wrong but can't think of any other name to fit Thanks for any help Wyndham
I listened to the 12 second clip but it doesn't ring a bell.
Can you give us a little more detail? Is the song an instrumental or vocal? What is the lead instrument or gender the vocalist? What genre is the song? Did you first hear the song on radio, in a television show or in a play? Is your clip about the same tempo or key as the original? The more hints you can provided the better chance one might jog someone's memory.
Thanks for the help but that snippet I used is all I can remember. Sucks when your brain cell leave like rats on a sinking ship,.... oh that might be the beginning of a new song .. HaHa
A lot of new songs are triggered by something unconscious. After all, there are only twelve notes. A groove, or motif, or even a tempo will inspire me to write some new song. Who is to know exactly what I drew on?
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
And then there's the old classic that your brain "remembers" something that didn't happen. Or in this case.... you think the song is the best freaking song ever...and it's great and all that, and so nostalgic, and then you hear it and reality sets in as you realize that it is in fact the song you were thinking about but it's nowhere close to being what you thought it was......
You can find my music at: www.herbhartley.com Add nothing that adds nothing to the music. You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.
The other weird thing is I matched(in my brain)Joan Baez, Diamond and Rust verse but that's how my brain patches things together. You're right there is no true history just vague recollection of real or imagined events strung together on the clothesline of life Wow that was somebody else in my head HAHA
I love that album and that song as well as "the dragons are flying tonight" but the song in my head is a male singer and there is a Spanish style guitar strum and a finger pick. I'm thinking maybe 70's western Anyway I love Emmylou's songs
I hate when that happens! Sometimes you can only remember a small fraction of the song, and it's even worse when it's super stuck in your head but you just can't remember what it's called or who it's by. I've lost many hours trying to find such songs before. Good luck on your hunt!

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
