Hello guys, I'm determined to finally start my dream job to become a music producer. Some might say it is a bit late, but better now than never, right??
I came across this guide: https://globaldjsguide.com/build-your-home-recording-studio-with-under-600/ which helped me to make some choices for my studio gear.

I have experience with DAW's such as Ableton and Logic, but i have the minimum knowledge of musical theory, instruments and audio engineering.

My musical style is Electronic music, Acid Jazz and Chill-out.

Can you help me where i can find the proper guides for
-music theory
-audio editing
-lyrics writing

Cheers...

Hi Jimmy89,

Google/Bing is your friend. I just googled music theory for electronic musician and I had a lot of hits, including this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZAazL2pYBI

You could do the same for the other subjects.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Mario is right. When I think of the enormous resources available online now that I had to learn little by little from many sources over many decades, I am amazed. If you want to narrow down more to a particular subject, we may be able to give better recommendations on individual topics.

I had been using SONY Acid, then Reaper. The other day, I revisited Audacity, loaded it up. It has come a long way in eight or ten years. For you, Jimmy89, unless I am missing something, your priority is going to be on loops, beats, effects, that kind of thing. Am I right?

Amazon books.... type the topic in the search. If it's been written, it's there.

As well as Amazon a place such as Groove3.com has a lot of very useful stuff. Right now for example I’m reading a Craig Anderton book on mixing. Part of a series on music production in which Craig goes through most aspects of music production. Craig has excellent ways of presenting stuff.

There are also training videos on a huge number of topics including a number of DAWS, many many plugins, how to play various instruments in various styles, music theory. The list goes on and on. If there is something you need Groove3.com will most likely have it.

Groove3 does cost I pay US$15 a month for complete access. I was just going to look at a couple of things whilst on holidays. Here I am months later going through a heap of stuff I thought I knew but learning heaps. There are better deals. (Right now today US$100 for 12 months). But I think for what you can find it is well worth it.

Great subject but with one post in one week, Band-in-a-Box is not mentioned and no follow up to the responses I'm starting to wonder if Jimmy89 has lost interest already.

Gotta wonder if the guy is promoting that website in the link. Most of those guys who post one post...usually their first and only...and include a link.... are after the clicks, with no interest whatsoever in PG products.

What say ye?

Hi, Jimmy89

There is no late for Dream, we realize that it requires some investment yet you can turn into the best Music Producer. Google can assist you with finding and get the most ideal ways and assets for your fantasy work.

For these all, in a more detail way, you can look on google

Music theory is a significant piece of the establishment for any artist for a few reasons.Music theory, similar to language, empowers us to comprehend the structure and significance behind a melodic synthesis.

-The music editor is a kind of sound editorial manager in film or other interactive media preparations for example video or games, in charge of arranging, altering, and synchronizing music during the generation of a soundtrack

-Writing song lyrics can be especially dubious, as they have to fit the music, be sincere, be unique, and furthermore get the group of spectators and never let them go.

Understanding Common Structures
Tune in To Something New
Try not to compose excessively
Discover New Words
Take a stab at Something Completely Different
Take a Different Angle
Focus on the music
Free your accentuation

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
